Good point, Sonnen's chances are so much higher if he only has to go 3 rounds. Not sure he can get that many takedowns without getting caught, and he's probably not finishing Silva.

i thought cote, leites and griffin had 0 chance vs anderson. i wasnt into mma when anderson beat franklin, but i have never thought anyone had this good of a chance to beat anderson except maybe henderson, but sonnen has quicker takedowns and better functional freestyle wrestling than hendo and stays much busier in the guard and can keep it there all 5 minutes each round

Basically I thought those guys all had a chance because I saw Travis Lutter almost beat Anderson Silva and Travis Lutter is Travis Lutter.

EDIT: By almost, I mean he had him in serious danger at one point in the fight.

What a farce of a main event. I was on the edge of my seat the whole Sonnen-Nate fight b/c it meant something, but this is just some cheap ploy to give Randy a title shot b/c he "earned" it by beating a "legend" in a PPV main event.

Please keep this type of main event to the free cards Dana.

I agree. Could you please let Dana know that the rumored Main Event for Vancouver is also unacceptable?

Wow, didn't realize Rolles actually mounted Beltran, if there was MMA live betting what would the line have been when he secured mount? -1200?

the line closed at -1500...i imagine at that point it was -3000+ if it were live.

FWIW, it looks like Paulo Thiago won the actual submission of the night bonus that gets the cash. The cash bonus must not be tied into whatever they show on the actual telecast.

sonnen is not ****ing fighting Anderson Silva. that is another lackluster fight that the ufc won't bother to promote. They will just have Anderson fight a 205er and put sonnen back on the shelf. And considering the way that Sonnen fought Nate, I can't imagine him doing that for 5 rounds to Anderson. 2 or 3 maybe, but not 5. Henderson only managed to do it for 1 round, so Sonnen doing it for 2 rounds would be impressive enough.

Really impressed by Paulo Thiago, but feel bad for swick, frank trigg please retire.

I don't think chael could do that to anderson for 5 rounds, but I wanna see the fight just for the hilarious countdown show and pre fight smack talk from sonnen.

Rolles was really embarrassing
