Man, this would suck if Silva's chin is gone and he gets KO'd by diaz.
Yeah, that's my fear, and there's a legit rumor that he was KO'd in training a week ago or so.

Um, he has one of the best chins ever. He's let tons of people tee off or been clipped and was fine. He walked through a Hendo overhand and smiled. He let Jorge hit him as hard as he could and laughed apparently.

We have every reason to beleive his chin was great and might not be as good as it once was. I think the hypothesis that his chin went the way of wandy or chuck is a bit of a stretch. He just hasn't been in as many wars as those guys but he is brazillian so who knows what's going on in training.

Anderson has saved a lot of damage over his career by being really hard to hit and hardly ever getting KO'd or even losing. Although, who knows how many times he trained through concussions, that can add up.

Anderson rolls with punches better than anyone. However he has eaten some bombs throughout his career and walked right through them.

The two that come to me are Hendo and Bonnar. They both cracked him hard and Anderson just ignored it.

However I'm quite convinced his chin has since disappeared.

No one wants to give weidman credit for being the bad mother****er he is.

"It was a fluke knockout where Anderson lost he footing"
"Anderson never would have lost of he wasn't clowning"
"The leg break was a fluke injury"
"Anderson has lost his chin"

While I agree that Anderson is no longer in his prime it's not a fluke that weidman just happened to be the one who beat him. He's a bad mother****er.

Please please no eye pokes in Jones v Johnson!

Seems so likely Jones going to emphasize them.

+1.

Saying his chin is gone is just guesswork. The first KO, Silva rolled into that punch super hard, which magnifies its force hugely. That exact situation ko's almost anyone.

The clinch punch is actually a hard punch, by a huge MW who hits really hard, to the back of the ear. A spot known to really mess guys equilibrium up and send them to the canvas. He recovered extremely quickly, like 2 seconds later.

The only two men better at MMA right now are Jones and Aldo. Losing to The Chris doesn't mean you're done.

After Kevin Burns basically stabbed him in the eye for a TKO win, AJ doesn't take too kindly to eye pokes.

He's complaining to the ref of an eye poke

+ we all just saw him KO Gus coming off an eye poke.

So it should be an interesting eye poke battle.

I think Chris might be better then him at MMA as well, just saying.

Anderson chin is probably fine, he got rocked by Chris in that gif but anyone can be rocked, its not like gets out there getting clipped and being put out cold.

The Chris is who I was talking about bruh.

Anyone got a source to these Silva being KO'd in training rumors?

AmirKhani just texted this to Ariel

Dude's definitely one of my favorites. Seems way cooler and less forced than a McGregor or Chael, whom I both enjoy.

I really doubt this or the Weidman shot were as hard as a flush punch from Hendo he shrugged off as a spry 32 year old. Given his age and history it would be crazy if his chin weren't much weaker and we have seen chins go surprisingly quickly a number of times. I'd guess we're more likely to overrate his chin than underrate it at this point.

OH. MY. GOD.

I don't think this is true anymore. It was after the first fight but the few people who don't give Weidman credit at this point are a morons who shouldn't be listened to.

Now it's possible that Silva's chin is gone AND Weidman is a bad mother****er. Both are likely true when you look at the evidence.

Have a good "feeling" Manny vs Floyd will be announced during the superbowl.
01-28-2015 , 04:14 AM
That fight has lost like 70% of it's hype for me after all the BS and manny's losses.
01-28-2015 , 05:11 AM
would manny vs floyd still be the biggest/most important boxing event ever of the last 15+ years?

Same, plus both are becoming olds. Will still 100% watch manny get demolished.

Let's just hope he makes it to the fight. Diaz doesn't need to make anymore excuses for his unprofessional behavior. His fans have that covered. Nick needs therapy and a different line of work. Hopefully Silva will convince him to make that life change.
01-28-2015 , 06:00 PM
I could absolutely see Nick do the minimum of what is required to still have the event take place, and right before the walk-out, the dude straight up walks-the-****-out. Of the building.
01-28-2015 , 06:18 PM
You guys realize both Nick and Nate have skipped like 5 open workouts total already? They miss them all the time. Nate missed his last one. This is par for the course.

I think it should obviously be yes. But in my head I have a hard time seeing it beat the 2.5 million ppv buys Floyd vs Canelo did.
