I was wondering how likely
It would Be for mé to gain 20 pounds (10kgs) in one week. Im considering putting my 250$ against my mates 800$ Im a College student Btw so this is a lot of money for mé. Basically What Im thinking is to drain myself entirely from water, and eat nothing 1-2 days up
To it and Then drink and eat shitton the next week. Obv my
Plan is he does not figure the entire drain thing
Out. What would my chances Be? Im 1,82m tall
And weigh Like 75kgs atm

Sorry for grammar, writing on iphone

I generally put on about ˝ a kilo a day when I’m on vacation, without even trying.
I’m 188 cm and weigh 88 KG.
With a bit of determination this should be no problem for you.
It may off course cause you decades of weight problems, and takes years off your expected lifespan,
but you should be able to win the 800$.
Good luck.

It's not really an angle. The bet is impossible to complete without manipulating water weight to the extreme seeing as your body is 70% water. If you actually think putting on 20 pounds of actual fat in 7 days is possible you're crazy. That said, I'm pretty sure 20 pounds is doable if you do it right. Look up what wrestlers do to cut weight and do that following up to the weigh in. Then go crazy eating/drinking the next week. I'd imagine you could add back ~13-15lbs of water and then put on like 5-7lbs of fat during the week if you're the type of person that is prone to gaining weight easily. If you're a skinny guy this might be tough though.

Im skinny, or well normal muscular, but im thinking this could be posible with the whole water thing, im not thinking fat lol,

you can probably gain 2.5kg of water right at the end, I don't think drinking water more than 3-4hrs before the weigh in will really help... you'll just pee/sweat it out.

Easy game, wtf.

Wrestlers/MMA guys/etc often cut 15lb before a fight, but its not an easy thing to drop that much if you haven't done it before. 10lb on the other hand isn't that hard. Combine that with eating a bit more than normal for the week and then chugging a gallon of water** prior to your final weigh in and it should be doable.

** might want to mix in some Gatorade or something to avoid water poisoning.

This guy:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Earl_Hughes
once gained 93 Kgs (205 lbs.) in one week, so I really don’t see why this should be so difficult.

I mean given your current weight 20lbs of pure water fluctuation isn't really possible you're going to have to suck it up and put on 4-5lbs of fat + 11-12lbs water +2-3lbs of pre weigh in food/water.

I don't believe he gained ~30 lbs a day for one week, even though he was indeed big.

It should also be noted from that link :

Hughes' excessive weight was attributed to a malfunctioning pituitary gland
You can win this bet only by dropping huge water weight loss pre-weigh in, not by any Ben & Jerry orgy during the week.

I don't think making $800 is worth gaining 20 lbs in a week.
