(BTW, the correct answer is toad for every level except the last level where you pick the princess. The princess makes fighting wart about 20 times easier because you can float over him and safely throw the vegetables in his mouth from behind him without him spitting bubble at you.)

Mario was balanced.
Luigi jumped the highest, but was a little slow running/pulling.
Princess could hover but ran slow and pulled up stuff very slow.
Toad pulled stuff up from the ground the fastest and ran the fastest.
