the hilarious thing about the American right wing is that there's an actual parody law saying that parodies of the right wing (in particular the religious right) are literally impossible to tell apart from actual serious comments, because no matter how wingnutty you sound, there's going to be people in the U.S. who still will take what you say at face value.

Perfect example, Farfenugen's post. Parody or serious? Hell if I know, considering the stuff you read on FR and the like (no link/full name for that site, I refuse to give them more hits)
