Being an adult, 26 years old. It's tough to make new friends, let alone gamer friends - especially if you're an online poker player. I'm getting lonely..

Where can I meet people who share my interest for gaming?

Most of my friends lists on Xbox Live and PSN are people from the 2 forums I still frequent now (2+2 & Soundcircuit).

They are frequently your best bet for finding people you can have fun with gaming.

It's not hard to get out there and meet new people. Join clubs, sports, etc. You'll find people.

Use meetup.com to find board gamer events in your area. There is probably a good amount of overlap with video game players.

If you are in/near a major metro area there is probably a LAN center where you would obv meet people who play games. Lots of weirdos though based on the 2 times I have been to one.
