What annoys me the most with Origins is the lack of sales (and especially DLC sales). Some DLC for 3 years old gave have never been discounted so far. I'd rather not buy games from unofficial 3rd party CD-keys stores, but when they are the only way to ever get -50% seems bit silly not to.

Installed Baldurs gate 2 and started again. I had played 98% of it but because I had made bad choices in rolling my charming bard thief I got hopelessly stuck towards the end when I had to fight the big bad all alone.
I swear the difficulty of this game is all over the place step outside the first dungeon your party's striped of it's mage and the first adventure you go on has enemies that can only be hit with magical weapons. Only Ultima underworld 2 has a less balanced beginning.

We'll need a night and time, and a race count. Apparently you can do 1,2,3,4,5,8,12,16, or 32 races. I'd vote for 5 or 8. Probably 8. We could do more though too.

just for ****s and giggles i modded my wii, got on wiimmfi and tried to play some MKWii online again

First race, there were 5 people including a FTW hacker and a FTL hacker

Immediately turned the Wii off

They've always been very minor plot points but House of Cards is one of the best representations of gaming ever. Fresh off the Boat did a really good Shaq-Fu episode though.

And of course the classic Simpsons episode with Bonestorm. Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge still kills me every time - One of my first jobs, 30 years ago, was in a video game store (actually Pickering Flea Market if any locals read this) and the amount of NES shovelware we sold to clueless mom's was amazing - Even when I'd try to steer them right, "Oh, no my son wouldn't like those shooting games - I'm looking for educational games?"

That was the one I was doing. And I'm still maintaining that this game has horrible balance issues. Fights that are virtually impossible the first time you stumble into them then trivially easy when you reload and buff your party before trying again.

I had a good laugh out of this.

The new Blizzard FPS won't have a FOV slider and this is the reasoning behind it: "The rationale here is that we want to avoid creating a situation of "Haves and Have-Nots," where those who are aware of the slider are able to gain an advantage over those who aren't.

Looking at graphic setting is considered an imba skill now. Next up, key remapping will go out of the window, we don't want to make those pesky hard to reach keys to become pressable now, do we?

Yes, damn those Haves who are so unfairly savvy they know how to move a slider in the settings!

Hopefully they will make in-game music mandatory and set at a certain level compared to other sounds too so those who know they can turn it off won't have an unfair advantage when it comes to hearing enemies.

But seriously - first thing I do in any fps is look for the fov-setting since the default is always set at 'claustrophobic'.
