I'm not very good at describing this type of thing but basically the mystery solving is pretty well done. You have to mentally flip between zooming out to see the "forest" of the crime and also zoom in to see the tiny little "trees". There was a moment in one of the cases where i had gathered all the clues and made all of the possible connections (you have to explicitly connect Clue A and Clue L which leads to deduction Y, but Y may or may not be true. You have to look at the totality) and still couldn't figure out which of the possible suspects did it. I gave up and took a shower and while showering a tiny little detail that the game didn't even count as a clue came to me. It could only fit one of my guys!
I just bought
Testament used for 360 which cost nearly as much as a new PS4
Crimes and Punishment. Will let you guys know how it is.
Edit: This is super-duper spoilery but it shows how the deduction map works. Every time there's a "node" that was made by connecting the clues. Whenever two nodes are together that means that only one of them can be true. For example, where there two criminals involved or three? Was it a robbery turned violent of a murder staged to look like a robbery? You can usually string your series of deductions together to implicate different suspects but it's up to you to figure out how it actually went down. It's hard and that moment when you catch the dragon is pretty rewarding.
