I made it through maybe 10 mins before I had to close his stream. That might be 1 of the worst streams I've ever seen. He should stick to rapping.

Gordon Hayward (Boston Celtics) used to have a stream, but I don't think he really streams anymore. Probably not even worth mentioning, but in case you are interested.

Some of Felicia Day's streams are good. Some of them are boring.

My first thought was Demetrius, he streams a decent amount of WoW when he's not near a fight I think.

Was watching some of arcus's stream earlier and was browsing through his times on speedrun.com, I can't believe that quickest time to 100 lines on Tetris is actually a thing

sure, i'm just wondering how to strap the phone to my self. how do people do this without the video being insanely shaky.

I think Ice Poseidon used to use a gopro strapped to his head before he switched to using a dslr. So gopro connects to phone and phone broadcasts.

What are you looking to stream?

just some IRL stuff. small part of a grand project

Do you definitely need your hands free? I think most IRL streamers are doing gimbal+phone or selfie stick+image stabilizing dSLR.

general question for the thread: why do you tend to watch streamers on Twitch? are you looking to watch & learn about games so you can see if you want to play them yourself? pure entertainment of watching the game? the streamers themselves as entertainers?

personally I started watching to see which games I may or may not want to end up buying, but started sticking around moreso now because of the actual streamers themselves.

i use twitch streamers as some kind of radio in the background, and otherwise i watch tournaments of various games I like on twitch. I dont really give a rats ass about the gameplay of non-professionals. But if I like someones personality I could listen to them for hours no matter what theyre playing while doing other stuff. Kinda feels like you're at home with a buddy without any downsides of actually having someone next to you, if that makes sense ;o.

I started watching streams of TLOU: Factions. I never played a multiplayer on console and got obsessed with the game. There were small streamers playing it when I finally jumped in, so you could actually talk shop and occasionally play with them. I sub to 6 smaller streamers, 2 of which are partnered, the other 4 are affiliates. There isn't a game I watch streams for now, but the streams I watch are for the streamers and the chats.

My time on twitch is roughly split 50% on Doc/Shroud/Summit and 50% on people speedrunning games i loved as kid (tomb raider 1-3, RE 1/2)

I definitely started out checking out streams based on games I was interested in playing, but as I got more familiar w/ twitch and the streamers I follow I definitely tune into twitch more for the personalities than the games. If I'm interested in learning strategy 4 a game I tend to look up let's plays on youtube b/c it's easier to track down advice on exactly what part of the game I am interested in learning about.
