Starcraft 2 (GAME IS NOW FREE!) - Page 756 - Video Games

I play on the starter edition cause I'm backed up on steam and shouldn't really be buying games. But yeah...I meant spores not spire duh lol. Yeah I def need more base defenses for random harass as that's what I'm seeing a lot and I feel I'm a little slow on moving my queens.

Edit- Had this post typed up and didn't see the posts between. I never even think to burrow a few random zerglings to use as cheap scouts and block 3rds.

He wasn't really arguing about that. It was just a tongue-in-cheek comment by me about how he was talking way over the heads of the people he was arguing with. If the average TL user doesn't understand the difference between chopping a prizepool and actual match-fixing (as evidenced from the thread about CRS/DIG chopping in an MLG a while back), you think they'll understand what a player's equity in a tournament is?

yeah just got around to reading it, seems kinda pointless but i think neither side is right. i did like the collective bargaining/union parts tho.

100k for 1 person or ~5k for everyone? if they aren't hurting for money, the glory and significant score are probably more appealing. its not becoming the industry standard, so to say its really going to affect to sc2 economy is a bit of a stretch.

also to your example, people just flipping for winner post chop is far from uncommon, let alone never happened

Well, I just said I can't remember it happening. I didn't know about that PCA deal and I was a cash player when I played, so my knowledge of final tables is pretty limited, I suppose. Has it ever happened in a WSOP event, because those are the most comparable to SC2 in that the win actually means something.

like i said, i dont think you can chop official events, more sure for the main. pretty sure people wouldn't be happy to hear you think their ept/wpt/etc wins are less meaningful than wsops, esp since most are tougher fields, but i dont recall any big ones other than pca where it happened. not that i'm an expert on the others, so i could easily be wrong.

but its also not like any finalist is gonna have merson money, so even if they played for $1k im sure no one would be throwing matches. not sure the start of this discussion but i think it was with match throwing/not trying? lol
