This patch is a cluster****. You can't just straight up nerf warpgate research by 20 seconds. Will this even change pvp?

The thor change could be good for making immortal/templar more viable. Though I feel good terrans will now have an easier time incorporating handfuls of ghosts into their builds later in the game to get off key EMPs. Instant strike cannon is silly anyways.

I think I like this version of the patch a lot lot more. 20 seconds definitely fixes PvP. Thors nerf is HUUUUUUUUUUUUGE so so so happy about that, that build was really broken despite the fact that people didnt full embrace it yet.

We need a Banshee nerf, right PhillyDilly?

Yeah, between day[9] equivocating the term balance so hard and Tyler being like "no, people shouldn't act civil on forums," the debates were pretty one sided.

The thing with Tyler's argument was he was pissed that EG didn't say why Liquid wasn't participating. wtf.
If EG had said Liquid isn't participating and this is why, Tyler would be pissed that EG is talking for Liquid. Really no win position for Tyler

cant believe i hadnt heard of pokerstrategy before they sponsored the TSL... they must get **** tons of traffic. they featured some links/summaries to a couple of my blog articles in their daily news article thing and wow they diverted me a good bit of traffic.

and a lot of it is european too. of all their sites, their russian site diverted a LOT of it, which is odd considering that it's entirely in russian and my site is (obv) in english.

I just played coLrsvp (rank 16 GM on NA) in a tournament. Got roflpwned since I'm diamond, obv.

Just won my first PvP 4gate. haha

Was on Shattered, close spawns on the bottom. He comes in and scouts me and is harassing my pylon and then one of my probes and then denies my cyber for a second until he moves out of the way. His probe ends up leaving.

I make a proxy pylon near the gold base, I walk up his ramp and then back down thinking I'm going to get FF'd because he wasn't really putting any pressure on me. Nothing there so I walk up further. Then he has 2 stalkers and a zealot coming from the way of the Xelnaga Tower, which I kill them easily with my 3 zealots and like 5 stalkers, whatever it was. Move into his base and kill him easily. He says, "wtf, how did you get in?" I'm not really sure what he's talking about so I say, "nothing at the front?" and he quits.

I watch the replay and he had taken the tower early in the game with a probe, then he moved his stalkers and zealots towards that back side loop around by the grass where you can go around without going through the vision of the tower.

He must have thought I was in the top spawn. haha But he scouted me and knew where I was. Pretty funny, I have to say.

Plus, he went 2 gate/robo so ezwin.

I have no idea how to beat Terran anymore. Seems like they get super fast stim/conc then come and roll over me with a bajillion marines and marauders just by clicking "T" and then A-move.

I think Terran is the one race that I just can't seem to crack. Stalkers are good against marines, but terrible against marauders. Too many zealots and you can't protect yourself against air. I got some colossi, but then he has vikings, which nullifies the Colossi pretty quickly, especially with the DPS of marines.

I don't know.

Anyways, pretty big brag. Went 2-2 tonight and didn't get mad. I even said "gg" one time!!! OmG.

Try aiming for a colo/phx/gateway unit army, at least against MMM.

Force field play is extremely crucial to beating Terran bioball. I remember watching a Day9 daily where he took a poll from the live audience (typically diamond and lower) about who would win an engagement between a mid size MMM ball vs gateway ball (maybe 40 supply size). The overwhelming vote was the MMM ball would win, but the protoss player absolutely crushed with good FF play.

a guy runs by us in 4s with like a dozen lings (i was terran and didnt wall in a 4 person shared base)

stunna goes "gj karak" and rage quits

we hold the lings off with like, no problem at all (cause it was only like 12 - honestly i was cutting marines and i still had enough lol) and go on to barely BARELy lose the game playing 3 v. 4.
