Yeah I had the water problem and dont think there is a way around it. Eventually it would run out for the entire region. I got a 300k city but it just drains too much on transport and utilities and stuff.

apparently you can put the sewage treatment plant next to your water station thingy and it pumps clean water to the ground

Got the urge to simcity last night and fired up 4 deluxe.

Tried making a new city, but no matter what I did the residential areas wouldn't recognize that they were facing and butted up to roads.

Wiped that city and went to a tutorial. About 5 steps in, it bugged out and I couldn't go back a step. Had already had to restart the whole tutorial twice so just said **** it and quit playing.

I don't remember 4 having problems like this the last time I played.

I haven't played it for a few weeks now. You can build a city way too quickly and all the population is totally screwed. Graphics are great, game is totally unbalanced. It's almost impossible to maintain a decent size city IMO.

There's been a crack floating around for a good bit now that does all that. The optimist would say they've learned their lesson that they can't stop piracy, and pissing off most of their legitimate customers wasn't a good idea so now they're fixing the game. Then again, this is EA, and it'll probably be a $30 DLC pack.
