Btw I've also noticed that sometimes I see in the loading screen that we are equal, but ingame the guy tells me that I was a favorite from his pov. This + me never seeing myself being favorite in the loading screen has lead me to some conclusions.

your ranking.

there's a hidden ranking system that is used to match you up. you might play versus a gold level as platinum but that just means you are close in ranking. HE might be close to moving up or you moving down.
There's also an uncertainty aspect to rating that's why you can stay in a league for very long while crushing everyone. The system does not know where you belong so you don't move.

So i'm pretty glad that for the most part you only get even matches

Maybe you waited for your bonus pool to build up so the games you won were not against favored opponents but your bonus pool makes it so your points are higher than his where he just played a bunch of games against harder opponents with no bonus pool.

Now there's also a good chance that Starcraft II's ladder is buggy as all get out.

games not giving points? same thing happened last night around this time.

I did get pts when I played earlier today though.

oh well, I'm winning most 2v2s in silver league and don't mind easy play since I just play to relax. Longer it takes them to move me up the better.

bit surprising there isnt a single post on the forum about weekends IEM semis/finals. definitely worth to check the vods and replays, some manner games by Tarson/Dimaga, ridciolous control by Morrow and more...

Gah, just crashed again so I gotta vent.

I have a macbook pro and it seems that whenever I press the ° button SC2 instacrashes.

Very annoying cause it's right next to the 1 button so it's very easy to accidentally mash it in the heat of battle.

I'd say odds would be like 9:1 in favor of top 10 guy.

Also holy crap I played way too much ****ing SC2 today -- I'm sick so I stayed home and my day was basically wake up, play SC2, eat in between, and that's all I did today.. Went from 40th gold to 8th plat (with bonus pool) in 1v1 and 27th diamond to 2nd in 2v2. Also finally got in some 4v4 games as well, which is a surprisingly fun mess around bracket.
