I see a lot of people (myself included the first week or so I played) get back on "defense" and just indiscriminately slam into the ball from any direction, which often results in centering it for the other team.
If you're not in goal usually the best thing to do is slam into the opponents who are waiting in front of the net for the ball to be centered.
It's amazing how bad I am, after all these games, at timing the ball when it's in the air. I can't count how many times I charge in there in a blaze of fury, turbo and double jump two inches below the ball and go flying into the other teams' net without even grazing the ball.
