with the format war offically going to blu-ray the ps3 is now a steal at $399 due to that fact that its the best bluray player out atm. it is a must own especially with mgs4 and gran tourismo quickly approaching. even a lot of the zealots over at avs and the high def forum are grumbling that its time to get a ps3 and back the winning format so prices come down for everyone

TBH, I think you're right. IF you're buying a bluray player, you're an idiot to not spend an extra $100ish to get another next-gen game console.

Wow, and they were criticized so much for bringing a $500-600 console at the beginning. Now they are looking like geniuses. 'Hey, buy the PS3 for your next gen gaming and get the most up to date blu ray player on the market', or 'Hey, buy the most up to date player on the market and also have the ability to play any next gen PS3 game'.

if u wanna buy a blu-ray player, it's a no-brainer to get the ps3 as long as it functions as well as the average blu-ray player for playing blu-ray movies

There is no way the PS3 is the best bluray player out now. It is definitely very good, but lol @ comparing it to high end gear.
