I've never played a Pokemon game or seen an episode of the cartoon, prior to Pokemon Go. I was certainly aware of its existence, but by the time it was becoming wildly popular in the US, I was already in college and well outside the target demographic. I can't remember anyone I knew being into it.
Finally managed to hatch a nice snorlax. Had a wild one with 120cp but this one was 1750cp with zen headbutt and quake, powered him up to 2057cp and he's now by far my highest (next is 1650 vape and flare).
Owned Blue and then Yellow when they came out, Emulated Gold/Silver and one of Sapphire/Emerald/Ruby (with the drought/flood storyline and Rayquaza) and one of the DS ones, Black/White maybe? (With that legendary dragon/ghost types iirc) on PC, which is great for people too impatient to play the entire game on the actual speed.
Can't imagine this game being much fun without nostalgia, I don't like it that much as it is. I especially dislike the fighting, don't even mind that gyms are so easily taken and so hard to hold but not being able to choose your moves and having to mash buttons like an idiot annoys me.
Not being able to fight random pokemon (or trainers) is meh, entire game is like a huge safari zone except that there you might have had more options than berry / ball / run? I can't recall, I never really liked the safari zone or its pokemon.
I feel like I got cornholed. I hatched a 587CP Kabuto from a 10k egg. Of course, I know nothing about Pokemon because, well, i'm an old man, but, I still feel like I got in the ole chocolate wizz way on this one.
Well first of all, keep in mind that Kabuto can evolve. So you're looking at a final CP at least above 1600. At level 23, that's a pretty solid hatch. Also, Pokemon hatched from eggs generally have solid IVs as well. Finally, Kabuto/Kabutops are relatively rare depending on your area (I personally haven't seen either yet).

Thanks. I had no idea. it was really funny because right after I hatched it I had one pop up in the wild to be caught as well and that was a 533. Prior to that I hadn't seen one in the wild ever.
