did 20 mins of walking and palying some pokemon saying hi to people in the cemetary and park and ****.

Hope the pokestops are working for me when I head out today, down to my last 10 balls and I'll be devastated if I see something rare and miss it.

My brother is pretty lucky he lives out in the country in Cheshire in a cul de sac and every 10-15 minutes 3 spawn on the road outside that he can just grab from his house. They are mostly Pigeotto, Raticate and Vemomat but occasionally there's different ones. I got Ghastly and Shelder while there yesterday. Plus there is 3 pokestops within 2minutes walk. He only started playing yesterday and is level 15.

Enjoy the process bruh, not the destination. Let the jealousy flow out of you like a river.

Trump tower on 5th Avenue around the 50s has 3 Pokestops. The tower itself, the clock in front of the tower, and some archway in the tower.

That actually made me jelly, and angry.

I'm going to make Pokémon great again. We never catch Pokémon anymore. When I'm president, we're going to catch Pokémon so much that you'll be sick of catching Pokémon.

I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and catch a Pokémon and I wouldn't lose voters.

Being unable to play from your place is way +lifeEV. I go on way longer runs than I used to and I discovered several cool places in my neighborhood. If I could play from my bed I would just lose hours of sleep waiting for one more pokemon to appear. Or perhaps I wouldnt play at all because it would just be a bad grindy mobile game that keeps crashing.

I've definitely walked/run more in the past week than I have in a long time. Even if you have gyms/stops right on your block like me, you still have to travel around a bit to get stuff other than whatever the common spawns are in your immediate area (Rattatas/Spearows with the occasional Pidgey in my case).

Re: egg bugs.

If you have eggs that freeze when hatching or disappear when they should be hatching they likely DO hatch. Check your recent pokemon.

FML. Almost bought a grip of it on the initial launch and balked. My Mom got in for a bunch though.

On the bright side.... I found a park with like 15 stops including two clusters of 4 stops which are constantly lured out. I was there for an hour and picked up 5 new Pokémon. I really wish they'd fix the foot steps bug though. Totally missed out on a couple I couldn't locate. I'm up to 280 pidgey candy now though.

Yea, no. They didn't disappear. I still had 9 eggs and I didn't hit any stops

My office is a pokestop, and just on the side of a river. I get 3-4 pokemons spawn close to me all day long, it's pretty incredible.

On the flipside, my house is far from everything. I had a good walk around town catching tons of them during lunch break, which allowed me to evolve a bunch as well. XP ahoy.

I saw a squirtle in town, but it ran away after my 4th try :'(

the psychology of what people will do in ftp games to not spend any money is fascinating. a guy at work said his strategy is to drive out at 3 am to capture a cluster of 3 gyms while no one else contests them in order to collect 30 coins every day. it only takes half an hour he says so is a great plan. cash value = 25 cents.

I love playing p2w games as a f2p because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. But this game is very interesting because almost nobody will be a truly f2p player.

By definition, you are not a f2p player if you have done one of more of the following:
-Drive even a little bit out of your way to hit a pokestop or gym or chase an elusive pokemon
-Buy a bike, rollerblades, or upgrade your current with accessories to help you pokehunt
-Take the family out for a walk and pack food, snacks etc.
-Use ubers or public transportation to pokehunt

I bought $30 used bikes for my wife and I that we would have never otherwise done without this game, and yet I will never spend a single penny on an in-game purchase. Weird how the Human mind works. Or maybe I'm just a bad person because I won't support the game

I haven't spent any money on the game so far but it seems to me like the best value is probably the 8 lucky eggs for 5 bucks, especially if you're in an area with a lot of stops/gyms. Lol at spending money on balls and ****.
