This thread is for the 2010 Holiday Game releases for Wii. Since the demand isn't there for an individual thread on each game, I thought creating a thread for all of them might work out better. This thread is primarily about the below games, but if another game for Wii strikes your interest, please feel free to post about it.

The main 2010 Holiday releases on Wii are (excluding multiplatform games like Guitar Hero and Call of Duty):

10/17/10 Kirby's Epic Yarn

11/2/10 Goldeneye 007

11/21/10 Donkey Kong Country Returns

11/30/10 Disney Epic Mickey

The above links are to IGN previews of the game. All of these games are looking very good and potential buys for me!

And I obviously made this thread because the first game on the list is being released on Sunday. And the IGN review was put up today. From what I can tell, this one is living up to the hype!

I'm really excited to play Goldeneye (preordered with the gold controller) and Kirby's Epic Yarn. Another one not to miss is Mario All-Stars, which is being released as a package including a DVD of the history of Mario and a soundtrack of various tracks throughout the series.

IGN is saying it's really difficult. From their review linked in the previous post:

Got DKCR today, as I was a huge fan of the three for SNES.

It's really good and really dang hard. I'm only through the first three worlds but the special "K" level in each world is freaking insane.

And every level has time trial medals and the goal times are absolutely insane.

Looks like they just missed it being epic. I still am going to get this for sure, but may not be the perfect platformer I was hoping for. I enjoy the Galaxy games, but the condensed worlds aren't my favorite. More openness is what I prefer (kind of like my favorite game of all time, Banjo-Kazooie), and I thought this would hit the mark. Oh well.
