Ya it's up now. Just got done playing all 3 game modes. Looks good so far.

- Tie up system in front of the net is great for defenders. Don't need to worry so much about whether you're going to give a light tap to move a forward out of the way or knock him on his ass for a penalty. Tie up animations are smooth. Didn't get much experience trying to avoid the tie up, we'll see how it goes.

- Goalies don't get in the way too much. If you're coming in for a deke you will avoid them. I did manage to get a goaltender interference penalty when a defender checked me in to the goalie though. Hopefully this is fixed, otherwise expect defensive strategy in EASHL to be to draw penalties through this.

- Standard deke moves (backhand-to-forehand and shotfake-to-backhand) require a high deke score now. Able to pull it off with Malkin and Grabner, my be-a-pro and some AHL scrub missed the net completely on the backhand.

- The standard deke move on CPU d-men is less effective. If you've got good speed coming in to the zone you can still pull it off.

- Seems to be more big rebounds.

- LOLuongo has a higher rating than Tim Thomas. 90 vs 89. Rask is only an 84.

glad i set my own hours so the work day is not going to start until after i play a bit...

POS unrealistic game

a couple really quick thoughts after one period:

- bigger rebounds for sure

- harder default shot speed?

- hitting system is infinitely more realistic... many less huge bomb hits that end up with a player splattered on the ice... lots more knocking guys off balance etc

- gameplay seems quite clean so far

- menu between periods is cool, being able to scroll between a shot chart, faceoff distribution, etc

auto drop pass!!!

i cut into the zone from the left side with the puck… cut across the top above the slot, and wanted to dish it to someone cutting straight down the slot "behind me" -- in '11 this would have been like a backhand flippy type pass or something... now by pressing the regular pass button it was a well-played drop pass that actually made sense



note: be a pro mode

doesn't appear to be any way to get an interference penalty lol... been just hitting guys away from the puck and nothing

couple of weird minor buggy things like:

- at the end of my last shift in the 3rd period, i had grades of A+/A/A+, then in the postgame they showed up as A/F/A+. meh.

- we were on the power play and gave up a shorty (standard), so i came off the ice, and on my next shift we were playing even strength but the yellow "PP" thing was still under the LOLnucks name. but it didn't have a time remaining.

only played play now before i went to work...

seemed smooth but I think I would need to play more to re-evaluate.

-not too much interaction with the goalie
-is it easier to pick corners?? (was sniping tim thomas high blocker on the reg)
-cant check Chara with anyone thats soft lol twins...

I like how the puck is no longer glued to your stick. I've been rocking the wannabe Hawk cheeser shots and there are times when my guy doesn't get all of the puck, so it's weak and/or my guy fans on the puck.

I scored 4 goals my first time around, regular 1v1, but that was on pro mode. switched to superstar? BOOM AI opponent becomes godly, moves the puck well and creates chances. i'm diggin this game already!

How often did the 2p2 EASHL team play? I've never really gotten into BAP before but am interested in doing it if there is a half decent team to play with.

I have a PS3... I play the 1v1 online part of it... I've always been a top 1000 ranked player all through the series. I'm currently ranked 350ish right now. Played hockey my whole life so I know how to play all positions, except goalie.

Who should I contact regarding getting in on some games?

The 360 team played basically every night...can't speak for the PS3 group

360 EASHL has two teams that played a ton. PS3 team basically doesn't exist. I seem to remember people posting back in Sept/Oct, but I haven't seen anything since.

Who's even left from the other 360 team?
