Sorry I haven't really been playing with you guys lately. When I've been playing lately I've mostly had a friend over and they all pretty much only play deathmatch and/or suck.

i played nothing but Gears 1 for almost three years.

i like playing video games while i watch tv, and cruise the internet. i'll never understand how people actually play nothing but re-spawn game types for more than a couple hours at a time.

it's just non-stop action. my thumb starts hurting like a mo-fo from all the running. i get so fed up with it that i inevitably switch to my marathon class. this is fine and all, but i just can't do it for more than maybe two games then i'm right back playing search.

i've never played any of the COD series prior to this one. well, i think i did the campaign in 2. i started out this one playing FFA. nothing but FFA because i just felt more comfortable being able to shoot at anything that moves, to work on aiming and just rly getting a feel for the game. coming from gears it is quite a bit different as you all know. after playing for a good amount of time i actually bought LFD2, and played Gears a ton while MW2 sat on the shelf.

then this kid i play with told me how all he plays is search, and it got me thinking.

for some reason i was initially thinking about how easy it is to die, and omg if i can't r-spawn that will rly suck. horrible line, but for some reason that's what i was thinking. but then i started playing it, and realized that even if i do die, i just pop my headphones off for at most 2 minutes, make a post on here, rip the bong, flip the channel, switch my class maybe?, and then i'm back and ready to go.

and every so often i'll go play HQ and just run around like a maniac, especially if i'm tliting from a bad run of SnD matches.

probably will sound pathetic, but my longest killstreak is only an 11. i've gone on several 10 kill streaks though without the use of any KS rewards. so i like to think that i could rather easily get that in the high teens, and would prop bet i could get a nuke before the days over because that would force me to play r-spawn alllll day and not just run around with marathon and lightweight on.

i'm sure i'll eventually put in some work towards the nuke and longer killstreaks, but for now i feel like i'm having fun playing SnD, and i can't imagine how it won't make you a better player quicker compared with r-spawn games.

obv r-spawn game have some separate skill sets, but i'm talking like overall being a good shooter, and having a better awareness of how to properly play the game. i remember i sucked ass at Gears when i first played it. rly played it for like an hour, got my ass handed to me, then didn't play it again for like 6 months. then i got hooked after i took time to watch the good players after i died which allowed me to figure out the basics of how i should be using different weapons in different situations, how to move around different maps, and how to position yourself on different obstacles/terrain on those maps to give yourself the upper hand when all else is equal. (like always moving around objects to your right in Gears so your shotgun is the first thing around the corner, and not the last. obv leveling goes on between good players, but as a rule you go counter-clockwise)

i'm confused where i was going with this so i'll just leave it there for now.

***I will be playing SnD all day while keeping an eye on the football games. i'm not like super talkative but i do enjoy working in small groups in SnD. prefer to run a two or three man squad which enables us to cover each other when advancing, lock down key areas of certain maps, etc. not like we have to be joined at the hip or anything, but it can work really well if you have a couple guys who are communicating. obv a full team would be great with everyone communicating, but i doubt there are enough of you that would want to only play SnD.

I also enjoy SND the most, I think it provides the most exciting moments on a consistent basis for me.

CTF comes pretty close when ur returning flags and avoiding hellfire behind you, but being the only person left in SND and capping the remaining players on the other team while everyone is sweating is the best feeling evar.

SnD is stressful when I'm the only guy left and I know I'm gonna fail bad somehow :P Feels awesome when you win it though

just gotta realize nobody cares as much as you will if you lose, but if you go off and clutch it = insta hero =)

I've only played FFA and TDM so far. I'm now playing SnD and it's so much more fun.

Tried a new search strategy last night. One man army/lightweight/claymore on 2 different classes so I could plant 2 claymores and then switch to a class with a semtex. I only used it a couple of times just to see if it work but seemed pretty effective. Could also use a noob tube/danger close setup to take random shots with while getting the claymores set.

Do you guys have different classes for SnD, and maybe even attacking/defending? I can imagine for example that claymores can come in handy defending, but much less so attacking.

starting to play a little more tdm. i completed the mvp tdm challenge last match when everyone on the other team left the game cuz of lag, only me and this other guy on my team were left and i had a higher score than him. lol i'll take it.

yah i use smaller guns like ump or p90 when on offense. famas or intervention while on defense. sometimes i use an ACR on both sides of the map.

Gonna play in like 10 minutes, would like to get a party or something going if people are on. If I'm not on your friend list, my GT is MJiggy on Xbox. Will play any mode if there is communication going on.

the steyr aug is an awesome weapon in this game

but what i dont understand is
- why is it listed as a light machine gun? it is an assault rifle
- in reality it is a very mobile weapon, very good accuracy with single shots but sprays like hell if you go automatic -> automatic is pretty useless, completly opposite in MW2, why?

just got 12-1 in snd on a 2bar connection with breed and his friend mollymod. i ended the game with a harrier drop on his head, lol. next map first round on scrapyard mollymod rushes the planes in mid and chucks his spawn semtex, boom triple kill. v fun times. not going to bed til tomorrow. come join us!

decided to play one more match before football. I've been using care package, pred, harrier, but since I've gotten a little better, I decided to try out pred, harrier, pavelow.
Started 18-0, my longest killstreak ever! Ended at 21-3, also first time I think I've seen a team get 7500 on derail.

does anyone use onemanarmy? i was talking to someone about OMA pro making it only 3 secs to switch vs 6. i just unlocked it but dont know if/when i would ever use it.

so they haven't fixed the deal where if you shoot a heli that's spinning out, you get credit for a destroyed killstreak reward for each bullet that hits it toward the cb perk challenge. even tho i already cleared cb pro, i figured a xp boost wouldn't be too bad so i emptied an entire rpd clip into a spinning heli and raked in some xp.

what does "faster aiming" of sleight of hand pro actually mean?
