we managed to get the win every game aswell :P

all i'm saying is, based on a samplesize of like 8 games on that map, far too often there's only 3 or 4 people in the vicinity of the house. and zero smoke. and zero people willing to make the plant. i guarantee if everyone threw smoke at the bomb target each time they were near the house, people would be a lot less tentative about going for the bomb. and as a result, we would struggle far less.

LML there are so many better TI placements than that, it's too far away from the house. also it forces you to attack through the backdoor of the house, which is often a choke point for defense to camp.

i still maintain that i think the best spots to attack are through the basement and the third floor. have third floor provide support and basement attackers throw smoke and plant.

are the 3 semi-auto sniper rifles all the same? Ive been using the barrett .50 with a ton of success so i havent tried any of the other ones. Do the last two have less recoil than the barrett or are the differences negligible?

m21 and wa2000 are similar but fairly different from the barrett, and yes both have alot less recoil

m21 is basically the nuts for auto-sniper.

as i said before, u can put it in the area behind the bar downstairs, or by the balcony near the logs. both have maybe 5% more of a chance of being detected while being way closer.

Estate TIs should go in the cellar in the very back room, no one ever checks there.

i love the m21 but it definitely pisses me off sometimes when i shoot someone from real far away, they don't go down right away, and run out of view. but i've definitely got tons of kills with it. i considered going back to the wa2000, but i never really got the same feel with it that i attained with the m21. for those who have extensively used both, how does the recoil of the wa2000 compare with the m21's?

that is the bar that clayton is talking about, which i have to admit is a great spot i always forget exists. if it gets discovered in a firefight then i can move back to my spot.

far from useless rubbrband. they are just very different from the sniper rifles we are used to using in cod4.

pretty much, i can put up better scores with all the other weapon classes on any map...still like using them though because they can be fun, i like mobile/ninja sniping with the m21

not flaming but you play alone on pc mostly right? i can understand this logic if you roll solo, but sometimes it is good to have a sniper somewhere in certain gametypes and stuff so im just curious.

for some reason i don't like the thermal on the m21. i prefer the acog. although i do switch to thermal sometimes on estate and afghan. i made the mistake of unlocking it right before playing sub base, and yeah that's not the place to use it obv.

the thermal scoped sniper can actually be pretty good, but it's just way to easy to snipe people with the scar. seems like i can outsnipe snipers with the AR in spots i could have never done this on mw1.

when i 1st started i thought the sniper rifles would be so good because the secondary weapons are so much better.

Has to be a pretty special situation to make the sniper rifle better than the AR imo.

I do kinda want to try out the acog on some fo the sniper rifles.

The reason for that is because it's so much quicker to ADS with the AR than a Sniper rifle. The sniper only has the advantage at medium to long range when he's already zoomed in. Personally that's not how I like to snipe, I'd rather scope out a whole area then zoom in when I see someone. Obviously the sniper should generally be behind cover but if you know the general area where he is you can move out quickly and fire a few shots hoping to knock him off his zoom and then crush his soul. I've definitely sniped way less since the first prestige cuz it's just not as effective as the AR on most maps.

Oh yeah, the ACOG is pretty beast on sniper rifles cuz of the quicker ADS.

m21 silenced with acog + pp2000 silenced with rds = the bomb**** for a sniper class imo.

i dunno sniper rifles r pretty damn good.. they just have to be used in harmony with the rest of your team. You have to have a good balance or AR's and close range firepower + a sniper rifle or two

a lot of ppl really underestimate the camo .. if you have that guille suit on and you lay in grass/bushes (+cold blooded pro) , you are fukn invisible. you can let people walk right over you and then rise up and kill them. Sometimes i'll pull sniper rifle just for the camo and pretty much just try to get an AR off someone because once you get an AR with that camo it is sick what you can do.

dude i sit crouched in the little grassy area in front of the house on estate and people walk right up next to me and don't even see me. i switch to my pp2000 and put one right in their dome and lol. they gotta be pissed watching the killcam after that.
