Silenced snipers was the obvious thing to do in COD4, but they didn't do it. I'm assuming because of balance issues. It makes no sense why they'd include it for MW2.

It's not that the sniper rifles are bad guns, it's that most maps are pretty small. Plenty of people use the snipers on the bigger maps. Creek would be a great sniper map if it was better balanced.

i'm sure they found a way to balance it...IW is really good at making COD games, i wouldn't be too worried about them throwing a completely unbalanced weapon in (unlike Treyarch)

It'll probably be a 2-shot kill except to the dome maybe upper torso with stopping power.

I still hate the idea of silenced sniper rifles. It's going to ruin objective based games and even non objective ones like TDM will be very slower because all snipers will have silenced rifles, claymores, uav jammer/stopping power, and dead silence. Huge camp fest but I have faith in IW.

I'm really loving the new killstreaks. The predator missile looks amazing. No more wasted "airstrikes" that blow up against the sides of buildings! Only downside I see is it'd be annoying to die to one since there wouldn't be anything you could do about it, unlike with airstrikes/arty and helos.

After watching some more vids of multiplayer, it looks like maybe you can sorta see the missile coming on the radar, so maybe if you haul ass to some cover it might save you. Still looks awesome, tho. Anyone know if kills from your killstreak bonus count after dying? If so, I can see the AC-130 wreaking people.

I snipe a good bit and I don't think it will be a big deal. If I use anything other than stopping power with the M40 in COD4 it's not easy to get the 2 shot kills. People start running/hiding when they get hit. Plus with kill cam giving away their location anyway it probably won't be too bad. I don't think they'd do it if they're not gonna handicap it enough to balance it.

Having said that, they are adding/changing so many things I don't see how the game won't be unbalanced in some way. My guess is there will ultimately be a patch a few months after release to fix a few things.

To be a nit the barret isn't really designed to shoot anything at uner 100yards and firing a barret without a tripod laying on the ground is pretty much impossible for that matter.

It's nearly impossible to fire accurately, but there are lots of videos out there of people offhand shooting real barretts.

I think the m4 is the best gun in the game. I've only played hardcore the past year though.

I always thought the g36 was decent as well. Which assault rifle do you think is best? I liked the g3 back before I switched to hardcore, but single fire isn't always ideal.

I was talking softcore, hardcore it does become way more balanced.

Either M16 or AK47 if you want an automatic. AK47 (and the M16) is a 2 shot kill with stopping power at mid/close range. G36/M4/G3 are 3 shot kills unless you hit em in the head. The G36/M4 probably has a higher rate of fire (I don't remember) but it will take longer to fire 3 bullets from a higher ROF gun than 2 from a lower one, plus you have to hit em 3 times.

i had to sell my xbox i was on the 360 playing waw way to much pretty much got up turned xbox on then played til 3-4 in morning then same again. but i am thinking about buying a new xbox for the new cod.

ps. it was prety much only game i play on ny console if it went for that i would'nt even touch my abox when i first got one.
