Mobs are back on, and I've modded minecraft to remove orbs from the game. I tested it myself by killing myself and all my orbs disappeared.

Only close chunks to where you are "loaded". So when you drop an item (die) they will decay in 5 minutes unless you are so far away from that "chunk" that it is unloaded. In which case the items will stay there for (afaik) an unlimited amount of time until that chunk is loaded again.

On the bright side, I don't think you should spawn into mobs unless someone else is in the same area when you log in.

...but you should get ready fast once you do log in!

So I finally decided that it was time to play this game and I've put in about 5 hours. I've only managed to die once. There was this green monster guy and I smacked a couple of times with a stone sword. I nearly fell out of my chair when it suicide bombed me.

According to minecraftforum.net, tomorrow they'll have an update for the pre-release with some bug fixes (not the full 1.8 release, but like 1.8 alpha 2 or something)

open up windows explorer in the bar type %appdata% and it should be listed as .minecraft and in the /bin/ folder.

C:\Users\Laptop2\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin etc...

Start a survival game in minecraft using suavebaby as the seed.

You spawn on a small island surrounded as fars as the eye can see by water with just a tree and some sugar cane.

Kinda want to get the game just to play this.

josh i cant remember if youve whitelisted me on your server, if not can you do that por favor

its getting hung up on logging in, then it says took too long to connect. i dont know if thats due to whitelist or not

I'm wondering what to do now in this game. I have a little house, a mine, and a wheat farm. I mined a few diamonds and a bunch of red stone so far, but I don't know what to do with them.

I'm in nearly the same position, sans the wheat farm.

I tried to till some dirt and water it with my bucket, but the water just flooded the area and washed away the few seeds I had planted.
