I am playing this game too much. I am selling my account for $263 on Full tilt or Cereus. You will have to send first unless I know you.

250 tickets (.90/each = 225)
2x alara reborn boosters (3/each = 9)
5x M10 boosters (3.8/each = 19)
a pauper burn deck
about 75 random rares, 700 uncommons, 3600 commons from 7th through to M10 ($10)

So MED III begins today. Apparently this is a big enough draw to return me to modo for a bit.

Is anyone else taking the plunge here for the release events?

I dont really see how its a rush deck with only 1 2 drop.

Hmm. For the MED3 release, is my math wrong, or do the Swiss Sealed Flights pay out much better than the drafts? Sealed has 2x as many players (16 rather than 8) and 2x as much to enter (6 packs / 4 tickets rather than 3 packs / 2 tickets). So 4x as much total paid in. But the total payout is about 6x -- 73 packs (15 for the 1 4-0; 10 each for the 4 3-1; 3 each for the 6 2-0) rather than 12.

Alternatively -- draft pays out 1.5 boosters per player, for 3 boosters + 2 tickets entry. Sealed pays out 4.56 boosters per player, for 6 boosters + 4 tickets entry.

So uh yeah. Sealed release events actually seem like a pretty solid deal.

Correct-to-mondo.

Also, my sealed deck is nuts. I'll post after my Rd1 here.

If I don't plan on ever playing extended (started with Alara block online and plan to play type2 once Zendikar is released) is there any reason for me to play ME3 drafts/sealed other than for fun?

Came out the gates losing round 1. GM 2 he has a sick tempo draw with removal. GM 3 im mana screwed vs another fast draw. I feel this deck is very good though.

edit: made the following changes,

-2 spirit shackles
-1 banshee

+1 disharmony
+1 benthic exploerers
+1 demonic torment

I doubt ME3 has much value even for extended. Really its just for nostalgia and Classic

Lol why would they put portal in ME3? Maybe they have for all of them but that seems completely ******ed.

Curse this thread for getting me back in to this game

Incidentally, I just pulled a Plateau in an ME3 sealed. PM me if you are interested and I'll hook you up with a trade when the tourney is over.

Otherwise I'll just sell to a random somewhere I guess.

So for some reason I can't edit my own post...awkward...

Apparently these prices are all over the map, im updating this list real quick. I'd temper your expectations but feel free to use this as a reasonable barometer for what you should expect to get.

Yeah, I noticed they were dropping after I played. People are trying to sell Plateau for 16-17 and people are buying for 9-10 it looks like.

I'm in a sealed M10 now with Shivan, Siege Gang, Capricious Efreet, and Overrun. If I do poorly with this I'm terrible at the magical cards.

Here's my pool, I'm probably really bad at deck building right now though so don't flame me too much

It doesn't show up in the pic, but I'm running 1 swamp and a Terramorphic Expanse too to help get Doom Blade off.

Lol Magebane armor too yeah thats a sick card pool. The two 1cost red cards your playing are pretty bad in this format though, I'd def play the sparkmage apprentices over them after your first games. They target a lot of good stuff that is frequently played (elves, looter, 2/1 fliers, etc). Seismic Stike is really good too depending on how many mountains you are running.

Edit: Wow just noticed Garrak too that is ridic. I think the doomblade is prob fine with 2x ranger +terramorphic. If you had less mana fixing I'd prob just run seismic strike instead to smooth it out but with your pool it seems fine.

You're right of course, I probably shouldn't be drinking. I played the Goblin for the Siege Gang but the other card is probably garbage.

Banshee seems ok but your main deck seems really good. The horseman are awesome obv. Is forcespike good? I guess you can land x2 beaters and pop their T5 6 or 7 fatty.

Is there any way to watch matches in progress, or do I just have to wait around between rounds?
