There was a post on the MTGO forums with charts that show the EV of the various formats. The sealed deck 8 mans are actually really good value if you can keep an above 50% match win rate. They pass all of 8 mans in EV and look to be the easiest events to "go infinite" in as far as limited is concerned.

Right now they also have nix tix Mirage block sealed going on which would be an amazing deal (the cards in the mirage block packs average almost 11 tix for a draft set because of multiple $30+ cards). The only problem with these events is they reward mirage block packs which as far as I can tell aren't worth anything and after this week won't be used for anything until they bring mirage block drafts back at some point.

The daily event limited queues can be a good value, but the prize structure doesn't change when more people sign up, so a 60 man tournament will pay out the same as a 24 man. If you can find a daily event that is going to fire with the minimum amount of people they are an amazing deal. Right now the mirage daily events tend to fire at 30 people and lower and the top 8 get an invite to the mirage championship event on July 5th(I think).

Basically just wanted to point out that Sealed events exist and aren't a bad value for people just starting out (although I guess if you regularly go 0-3 it could be a problem).

I played a ton of draft when Tempest and Masques came out, of course a lot has changed since then.

Thanks for all the info CMAR.

The last set I played under was Stronghold. It's nice that there are people here so willing to help out the newbs.

Here is my draft from last night. It's 4332 ACR, and I actually played against BishCoddler second round! Anyways, are there any improvements I can make in deckbuilding?

Nice deck, but Sylvan Bounty tends to be bad in this type of deck because you don't want to cycle it on turn two with all your aggressive drops. Fiery Fall is a lot better. I would have cut a Bounty to play Kranioceros.

Also, Knotvine Mystic is not great in the aggro Naya deck - it really shines in the big ****ters Naya deck. Probably could have eased the pedal on 2-drops and gone for more 3 and 4-drops. Nacatl Savage isn't all that hot.

I'd have taken out a nacatl savage and a sylvan (or the mystic) for the Kranioceros and the Filigree

Was referring to the satellite for modo champs in Rome. I went x-1 through rd 7 then caught my second lose and dropped. Played a straight jund deck, no rares, had 3 giant growths and some removal.

Will post deck tomorrow.

Currently 7-1 in the champs after a first round loss. My tiebreakers are terrible so I gotta win the next 2.

Ugh I just got horribly bad beated. The turn before I kill my opponent, I have an untapped Voracious Dragon to his 1/1 token, with me at 4, and he topdecks his 4th color into Bituminous Blast into Elspeth ftw.

He's at 4, so one attack from the pumped token is lethal.

That's right. I misread his post (I thought only his opponent was at 4)..

Ended up 8-2 for 18th place on breakers. The textless foil Mutavault should be worth quite a bit. Not much difference between 2nd and 32nd for me, I was really only interested in winning or getting the promo. I'll post the decklist later.

also 8-2, finished 13th. I sold my mutavault for 64. Not sure if I got ripped or not. Noticed the bots were buying for 50 though.

I'm using cardbot/cardbuyingbot for most trades, but I'm not really sure which to use for my crap rares and extra commons/uncommons. Any suggestions? I see a few that say buying 3 rares for 1 ticket which seems decent and a few others at 4 for 1.
