And both upkeeps!

Minimal stops ftw please. If you need to do something during their upkeep, before you end your turn, right click on the upkeep symbol and set the stop. Easy, quick, and foolproof. Will also save you clock time in the long run and help you multi task.

Also liberal use of F6. Gotta lol at Cedric Philips for having a **** ton of stops, no autoyielding to repeated abilities (like extort), multitabling and continually getting low/running out on time. If you can't LSV it up, don't multitable you POS.

This important derail brought to you by no one.

I have a ton of stops, f6 liberally and and f2 through stuff on accident if I cut down the stops. Also have little issue MT'ing.

The relevant issue is really whether you're able to play out games in a timely manner. As your opponent that's all I ever care about. Gets lolzy if you have a ton of stops you never use and they slow you down, like Ceddy.

Haven't tried the beta client yet but understand it's possible to keep games in separate windows there? If so that's a massive improvement, especially for people with dual screens.

Likelihood of an opponent whining after being beaten by a deck like that: +200%.

Playing some IID drafts, tanked pretty hard p1p1 looking at Lingering Souls and Vault of the Archangel. Took Vault, correct? If it matters the rest of the pack was useless.

Brag: Opened Geist
Beat: Got smashed rd 1 by a deck with Liliana and the Lingering Souls I passed

@Ben: plz deck someone with Whispering Madness

Lingering Souls is almost certainly the correct pick.

Yeah I get a little irritated when my opponent has a permanent stop set on my upkeep. Also, people should learn to use F4 - it's basically a super liberal F6. It rarely even gives away any information regardless of what you have untapped.

Yeah. I use F6 when I'm tapped out in GTC draft e.g. since it's not possible for me to have anything, F4 otherwise. F time wasters.

Anyone up to speed on the modern metagame post BBE ban?

I'm debating on going to a modern PTQ this weekend, but not a big fan of shelling out big money for a deck I might not play much again.

Is there any top tier deck that is reasonably priced?
Preferably Agro based.

Was debating on just saying **** it and shell out a huge investment for Jund, but a little annoyed the price of goyfs will be dropping a fair bit and possibly other cards with the modern masters.

Gruul works. It's mostly standard-legal.

Ah nice, the list I saw had goyf in it (means $$), but just did more research and realized goyf isn't necessary and can be replaced with stormblood berserker.

probably will play this

What's f4 do? I usually use f8 and f6

Where is your PTQ Heisenb0rg (which country)?

I was in a PTQ in switzerland last week metagame was full of Pod and BG aggro based deck (BGu, jund, junk). Before that there was a lot of Tron in top 8 so sideboard will probably be loaded against that

so best choice imo is hatebear and it's budget

Hatebear sounds bad against all of those decks? Unless I'm missing something.

I guess I might as well post our list since I'm not going to play any modern for next 5 months or so (list went 6-2, 6-2, 5-3 in our ptq, personally 25-7 in mtgo queues ):

4 Arid Mesa
4 Misty Rainforest
4 Scalding Tarn
3 Stomping Ground
3 Steam Vents
1 Breeding Pool
1 Mountain

4 Goblin Guide
4 Cloudfin Raptor
4 Experiment One
4 Kird Ape

4 Burning-Tree Emissary
4 Flinthoof Boar
4 Tarmogoyf

2 Burning Tree Shaman

4 Lightning Bolt
4 Vapor Snag
2 Pillar of Flame

sb:

4 Threads of Disloyalty
3 Kitchen Finks
3 Negate
2 Burning Tree Shaman
2 Sword of Light and Shadow
1 Combust

match-ups
Very good: Tron, Scapeshift, Twin
Good : Jund, UWR Aggro, Eggs, Pod, anything with Dark Confidant
Neutral : GR Aggro
Bad: Storm, Affinity, good BWG lists, Tokens
Abysmal: Burn, UW Controls, Soul Sisters

Deck is fast and very resilient to red removal. On avg golfishs t4-5 while having some relevant disruption.

i'm wondering about this as well

my lean is towards GR tron because i love karn/emrakul, but i am worried about hate

from what i have researched it seems like it is completely necessary to play slaughter games in the board to take care of sowing salt

is GR tron competitive enough to win? or am i just going for the luckbox. i want to play combo decks above all

Tron is bad. You only have few good match-ups and a lot of terrible ones.

That RUG list looks sweet.

Tron is fine imo, you don't really have many bad matchups (Storm used to be the big one, but Eggs is much more beatable with MD Relics), you have a good nut draw, and there's not that much hate. Sowing Salt is scary but a. only a few decks have it, b. they usually only run 2 copies, and c. they need to draw it and cast it on time. Bringing in Slaughter Games against it is bad and just plays right into their hands.

Yeah I tried like 5 games of it (with a couple swaps) and it wasn't impressive but I also did not draw looting/vengevine much.

It seems to me that firespout is one of the better cards in the format right now, kinda thinking I want to run scapeshift as a result.

My first thought was take out blue.
My second thought was thoughtseize, dismember, and Bobs would be better than the blue.
Then I remembered Jund is already deck, lol.
