man epic scg punt in the semis

hivemind vs junk depths

hivemind player absurd lucksacks into the combo off a brainstorm, but the depths player has mox diamond, bayou, savannah, depths in play and show in tells Knight in so he can pay for the pact(tap bayou then knight for urborg tap diamond for R, other 3 to cover), but chooses to hexmage the depths instead and just dies

lol yeah that was terrible

Hive Mind guy also punted by playing the second Brainstorm EOT rather than on his mainphase (when mana wasn't an issue), denying himself an extra card to look for combo pieces.

Would it really hurt if WOTC turned on F8 functionality as a default? It's insane how long it takes some people to just hit OK.

EDIT: Or maybe publicized it more for newbs.

What does F8 do?
How do you turn on the functionality on your own?

Press F8 at the start of every game: it auto-yields priority when you have absolutely nothing to do (neither spells nor abilities). This greatly speeds up a lot of your turns. It doesn't do much when you have a Goblin Sledder or something on the board that's free to activate, but it's completely fantastic otherwise. I guess I thought it'd be more common knowledge here. =\

It's not only convenient, you'll also never get timed out by using this.

It just angers the **** out of me when the first 6 turns take 10-15 minutes for little piddly stuff.

So I just opened a foil Phyrexian Obliterator. Regular Obliterator goes for about 13-14 tickets on MODO, what should I try and sell it for? I was only able to find one bot that was advertising buying at 18 tickets but that seems kind of low. Any ideas?

Starcity games has the foil at $35 and the japanese foil at $30, channelfireball has the japanese foil at $60 which is kind of rediculous. So I'm thinking I should probably be able to get 20-25 tickets on MODO?

Comparing to real cards isn't doable, I believe the foil market is pretty different on modo.

I believe multiplying by 1.5 from the non-foil prize is a decent rule of thumb, but I can't say how accurate that really is. I'd probably be quite happy with around 22 tix or something based on the numbers you quoted, but I'm far from a trader.

I've found such huge price fluctuation for foils on MTGO. Just wait and eventually you'll find someone who wants to pay a lot more for it. I just sold a foil praetor's counsel for 7 tix to a foil bot. Most bots only would give 1 or so. Not bad for a 8th+ pick.

MTGO traders list it at 20.65 so I would list for 19 if you are patient or just sell for 18.

oh, and always look at an online retailer for online cards. SC and CF only deal with paper where prices are different for almost everything.

I think its pretty stupid.

Basically comes down to who has the most insane bombs. There are at least 2 off the top of my head that are especially dumb (Fact or Fiction Djinn and Vampiric Tutor Demon), so that even if you can remove the 5 power flying threat they still have more gas/the 2nd best card in their deck.

Maybe I am just jaded, but I liked SoM a lot more.

Just took a quick look over the card list and it does look pretty bomby. I see a lot of painfully hard picks in my future.

hello folks,

Ive played 11 sealed events and can confirm its very bomby...you hit a garruk or jace you win, you hit a chandra you gotta determine if worth playing red or just splashing...so far white green with bombs has been very good to me...have 30 packs

+ Fireball, Overrun, Cudgel Troll, others I'm sure.

Idk what the print runs are like but I'm guessing there will be packs with like 5 first picks lol
