thanks. i threw one in for the standard 'tutor for a terror' but figured in games that went that long I was boned without bombs anyway. I pulled it for rise in one game and volcanic strength against a red deck.

won r1 & r3 (swiss ldo) and lost r2 to a guy who had wrath in his starting hand g1 and g3. Both games I got great draws and basically spammed my whole hand within a few turns

Tutor is fine, I'd be tempted to play Raiders over a Barony Vampire, as there's very little that Vampire can kill that Raiders can't, and when Raiders is better it's a lot better.

Definitely MD Rise from the Grave IMO.

yeah I am always stuck in thinking of it as my own graveyard, and there wasn't anything worth bringing back in mine. i always forget about killing something and stealing it as my own

Huge mtg downswing lately. I think I'm getting wayyy too fancy here with the 3 bloodcrazed instead of piker/lion. Am I wrong in being tempted with the idol?

the goblin is awful, obv run the vet, lion and piker and it still sucks

running 2islands and frost titan is better than running the goblins

Sub goblins for Infantry Vet, Silvercoat and Celestial Purge (or a volcanic strength or a tunneler if you don't like to maindeck Purge), add 3 plains and the terramorphic for 4 mountains.

Oh, and don't draft red.

I like sword of vengeance in this situation. The sword makes all of your dudes better. Furthermore, this early in the draft, it is useful to keep your options open because you may decide that you'd be better off in other colors besides blue.

Yeah, you can easily get cut from blue and waste the MC, and it isnt clear to me that it is better than sword anyway.

ton of really sweet casual cards in the set, love the metalcraft phoenix

metalcraft in particular seems to be the new lol no thinking deckbuilding mechanic, at least seems way less obnoxious than affinity

How do you like this M11 U/W draft build? Last cut for me was Siege Mastodon to get to 18 lands... Also first pick was Platinum Angel vs. Ajani Goldmane... ?

I feel Ajani Goldmane is way better than platinum angel. You're committing to a color, but white agro is a very strong archtype that you should be happy drafting. Platinum angel is a fine card but Ajani goldmane is an absolute wrecking ball.
As for your deck, I normally don't like the Cloak but I guess with Platinum angel you have to play it. I also am not a fan of Warlord's axe. I would run one of the charge's instead. Phantom beast is really rancid. I would cut it for Negate, which is a very nice card to have one of in your deck.
