Yeah. These are better looked at as online Grand Prix events that award one slot.

I'm pretty sure decks like goblin deck wins are pretty good too, though idk about the list they have.

I'm not sure I get why they can't just run one huge long tournament. Are they expecting way more than 512 people to be interested?

Probably loses to faeries (like all these decks), otherwise fine.

So is peasant magic literally any common from any set? They don't "rotate out"? Seems like having mistake cards like Dark Ritual, Fireblast, etc. in any format is kinda dumb.

Right now, the only 'sanctioned' pauper on MTGO is classic (any common that has ever been released on MTGO). There are some events that are player run which are restricted - block, standard, etc.

peasant magic is commons and a few uncommons - I forget the exact number but I want to say like 4 uncommons.

lol never heard of peasant seems sick. like UB techings.dec w 4 psychatog and some gush might be broken.

storm.dec w tendrils seems pretty good too

It's called Pauper.

New Blue clone spell is pretty sick with its kicker.

Pretty sure it's 5 uncommons.

Fireblast is obv good. Dark Ritual doesn't really get played though except in storm decks. Aside from that, there isn't much that you need to accelerate into on turn 1/2.

Peasant can become a lot more degenerate since opening up to 5 uncommons makes a lot of sick decks.

I like the all common format a lot more.

A pauper deck I've been playing online which is a lot of fun and pretty cheap (i think),

4 brainstorm
4 counterspell
4 mana leak
4 agony warp
1 diabolic edict
4 exclude
2 mystical teachings
1 capsize

4 nightscape familiar
4 mulldrifter
2 twisted abomination

5ish panoramas (grixis or esper)
4 dimir aqueduct
dont remember the exact mix of lands but obv lots of islands and a few swamps.

i feel like i'm missing a 1 of but i cant think of what it is right now

Is Peasant different from Pauper? What are the 5 uncommons? Are they just the uncommons that were printed as commons previously?

You get to use 5 uncommons in your deck, any uncommons.

Ah. I'll stick with Pauper then.

Five seems like such an odd number to choose.

Seems like Peasant would be a much more fun format. You can have significant engine cards you can build your deck around, like Buried Alive or Allied Strategies or whatever, instead of people just smashing bland redundant weenie/counter/burn effects into each other over and over.

Blah, the tourney is crashing and I'm at 4-0. If I only get product back that would suck.

You won't get anything back. If you win product you aren't entitled to a refund.

Friend was just playing M10 draft and R2 G3 he overrun w/ more than lethal damage (35+). Guy had an industructable palace guard (can block any number of creatures) and blocked like 3 of his 7 dudes. He was unable to assign dam because of a bug (wouldn't reorder and couldn't click submit) and he timed out. ORC was no help. WOTC said "no refund cause you already were a winner"

There were 65 people registered so it was scheduled for 7 rounds (I think?). The ORC guys were giving out the support link so hopefully that works.

At least I have the cards in my collection now from the deck I had. Kinda sucks since I was steamrolling people.

played my last match of lowryn standard, while I like a lot of the cards good riddance, zendikar should be a lot of fun(though looks to be quite expensive )

the mission is to get 50rating points before GP MN so i get the 2nd bye, which will be pretty tough unless i do well at the 2ptqs ill play before then

65ppl is a huge beat(its the start of 7rounds, 64 is 6)

sucks to have it crash when you are 4-0, since the refund won't factor in your high likely-hood of T8 and prizes

that is really gay, indestructible palace guard is pretty sexy though lol, who controls the order of damage if you have a 4/4trampler and 2 2/2s do you hit for 0 or 4? the attacker controls teh order of blockers when there are multiples blocking 1creature, but when its just 1creature blocking everyone seems like a mess
