Prices for things on my wishlist are either the same or higher than they were for the winter sale. Oh well, I probably don't need any new games anyways.

I spaced off the winter sale so I'm ready to buy again. Seeing a lot in my wishlist that are 50% off or more.

Notably XCOM 2 is 90% off. For some reason I never bought it even though I loved the first one.

Getting xcom 2 for 5 bucks if you havent played it is the steal of the century. That game is still easily worth 40 or 50.

Especially with the gigantic mod scene.

IF you are going to get Xcom2, get War of the Chosen. It adds a lot of fun stuff to the game.

What else is/are people buying or what should I buy? I'm considering the Halo Master Chief thing cause I loved it but ports always feel meh and no one on my friend's list has it.

I bought hades, it seems ok but not amazing. Probably worth the price.

I also use a controller on my pc now for a bunch of games which has improved them immensely. Like binding of Isaac.

Not on sale (but cheap enough as it is), Dyson Sphere Program is really good.

Anyone who even remotely enjoys Factorio-likes should check it out.

I wasn't overly impressed by it either. The presentation is obviously top notch, but the gameplay was mediocre to me.

Yeah similar impression. I've grinded out a few runs but I don't get that adrenaline rush where I make it far and have an intense boss battle or anything like that. I can see how some people love it.

BoI with a controller sounds like heresy.

pwns is right, games like that are definitely better with a controller.

No way, it's a much better experience with a controller. The button mapping is perfect

I assume Hades is the same way which is why I'm really looking forward to it hitting Xbox

I think the first boi game didn’t have native controller support in steam so most people used keyboard myself included. I switched over to controller for rebirth and much prefer it now.

I've had the Halo: MCC since it launched. I haven't played the last couple games that have released but I've played Reach, 1, 2, and 3 and all of them felt great playing on PC. I only play the campaign and not multiplayer so keep that in mind.

Also you can play the Halo: MCC with the Xbox Game Pass: https://www.xbox.com/en-CA/xbox-game-pass/pc-games

I just bought it on Steam because I knew I would be playing a ton of it.

It's really easy to use xboxone controllers with steam. I put it off until I had to but definitely shouldn't have.

That's how they get you. $5 for Xcom 2 but $10 for the recommended DLC! And if you get that, it's only $5 more for the bundle with both of them plus two other packs that probably don't matter but add more content.

And that's how I spent $20 on a game during a Steam sale.

Also got a couple random puzzle games that look interesting: Understand ($3), which seems like The Witness (it's a line drawing puzzle game) except the rules change from level to level and require you to figure them out again, and shapez.io ($4), which seems like a hybrid of Factorio and Infinifactory. I've generally found that combining concepts that look good + very positive Steam ratings results in games I enjoy, so we'll see if that continues to hold.

20 for all of those is still a steal. Base game is worth at least 40, WotC is worth at least 20

It's funny that the retail price of WotC is $40, that's possibly the most expensive expansion for a game I've ever seen. Usually $40 for some kind of expansion content means it was released standalone.

It was originally intended to be a standalone as Xcom 3. This is a better option. I think Xcom 3 will likely be built in a new engine.

Main impression from the Halo MCC was that the Halo games haven't evolved since the first game. Each one feels like a tweaked version of the original. Played one, played them all.
