That's how they get you. $5 for Xcom 2 but $10 for the recommended DLC! And if you get that, it's only $5 more for the bundle with both of them plus two other packs that probably don't matter but add more content.
And that's how I spent $20 on a game during a Steam sale.
Also got a couple random puzzle games that look interesting: Understand ($3), which seems like The Witness (it's a line drawing puzzle game) except the rules change from level to level and require you to figure them out again, and shapez.io ($4), which seems like a hybrid of Factorio and Infinifactory. I've generally found that combining concepts that look good + very positive Steam ratings results in games I enjoy, so we'll see if that continues to hold.
