Stardew Valley was fun, but got pretty repetitive. I played through the 1st 2 years then kinda lost interest b/c I had no interest in trying to befriend any of the characters or discovering every last secret

Yeah it's a pretty good game. Really just a game where you do something and like get home and are like "****...I had to do that for my people" and feel like **** about it haha. I legit don't like playing the bad guy so I struggled so hard at certain points knowing I had to screw over certain people.

i think they're done with those. too detrimental to developers

The re-selling market and increasing distribution cuts pretty much killed the big sales. There's no incentive to do a deep discount because you are effectively lowering the price of your product permanently.

No they stopped doing them because of the refund policy.

Massive discounts were declining long before steam started doing refunds.
