Origin is so much worse than Steam. How is EA even still a company? I can't even ****ing use their website due to geolocation ******ation. The only way for me to get DA:I is download it for free. **** EA, ****.

This seemed like the correct thread to vent that.

I've had huge problems when I first installed steam. I think I got into it when I bought physical copy of Skyrim. I was so pissed because it seemed at the time that people have less issues with pirated Skyrim that original one. After 4-5 hours of installing/uninstalling/trying different solutions the issues went away and never had any problems since. But yeah definitely happens in some extreme situations. I also lost CS on some old account.

If you know the login info for the account that had CS:S then you should contact Steam support. You should never lose games due to inactivity.

Not sure I see myself buying much on this sale outside some older games at deep discounts (Braid, Super Meat Boy, things like that). Maybe Divinity or Wasteland if the price gets down to 50% off.

IMO it's been incredibly weak so far, I have like 15 games on my wishlist and still haven't pulled the trigger

Had stuff in my Steam cart and some Xbox 360 games in various carts, dillydallied and ended up with nothing when the sales expired. Disappointment level = 0/10.
