I realize I'm quoting something from last summer but marvel heroes still has this same problem and it's even worse now because they introduced many new crafting items, runes and other "stuff" but didn't really do much to change the stash size by a noticeable amount.
I tried this game the other week for the first time and the stash limitations for a f2p player is a joke. You battle stash management constantly and you're forced to throw away almost everything (even good end game items) because there's no room.
No stash in an arpg is absolute death of the game.
The splinter grind is also absurd. It takes like 60 hours just to grind for a medium tier hero and closer to 100 for some of the more expensive ones because the splinters (the things you use to buy heroes) drop on a timer.
They even introduced "mercs" recently that also use the same splinters to buy and require grinding for 60-100 hours to buy one for a minuscule passive bonus because they die instantly in end game content.
Long story short, this is one of the worst f2p games I've ever played when it comes to trying to money grab customers. I already uninstalled without ever paying them and am happy for it. A lot of the heroes are really bad too and quite a few are extremely imbalanced.
Game has almost no content either. Expect to be max level in ~20 hours of game play and everything you do at max level is what you can do from pretty much the start of the game with 1 exception and that exception is just rehashing the old terminals with a higher difficulty level. The 20 hours assumes you go through the story mode 3 times too (1 for each difficulty), so it's similar to diablo in that sense.
The only problem is all of the unique items drop at any level and scale up, so there's no incentive to really do anything. I had level 35 unique boots and then re-found the same boots at level 60. Some of the stats were worse. The only thing I gained was a bit of defense and like 0.2% more paper DPS. It's not fun when most of your item slots don't get upgraded by anything noticeable. I found myself just filling my bag up with junk and vendoring everything without looking because it was guaranteed to be worse than what I had.
All builds are the same too when it comes to items. You pretty much get 3-5 uniques for each hero and you're done with basic items. Most heroes only have 1 or 2 viable items for each gear slot (5 slots) and they are pretty easy to get too.
