If you haven't played ME1, get that first. I just started playing it, and it's pretty awesome even though it's a bit older than ME2. I've also heard that ME2 is better if you've played ME1.

Yeah ME1 & ME2 for $10 each is a no brainer and should be mandatory buys if you haven't played them.

also just watched some gameplay video on youtube and it kinda of looks like a straight forward shooter... is that basically what it is? no exploring or anything?

ME2 is less RPG then ME1, but with vastly improved combat. Either way, there is no 'Elder Scrolls' type exploration. The gamespot review could explain it better then I can. I'm not sure what the computer specs are, you should be able to look them up.

btw, it's rated the 12th best game OF ALL TIME according to Game Rankings, so it's unlikely you'll be disappointed.

I like 1, I felt 2 was one of the biggest dissapointments I've had in gaming.

Not to get too off topic, but BioWare in general needs to learn how to tell a story. ME1/2 and Dragon Age all had really lackluster stories, which is half the reason I play single player games.

hmmmm....i just decided to check out this thing called Onlive since i never heard of them but saw them winning GTs most innovative award...

...i'm pretty much stunned by the whole thing after having signed up and downloaded the installer (takes about 2 mins tops in total) and feel like i have just seen the next step/future in distributionplatforms. It may not be exactly what you want it to be yet, but it blows my mind this is already possible.

The reason why i post it here? Because it left me with the feeling that if Valve isn't already getting onboard with this kind of thinking about the future of steam(and programming as we speak), my extensive library may proof as useless as my VHS-collection in the not-too-far-away. I will cry myself to sleep for at least a month if proofs to be the case
