You can't actually get this achievment when there are bots in your team I'm afraid. You know how bots occasionally hit you but you take no damage? It still counts as friendly fire but won't show up in the final credits. I completed a campaign with 2 bots + 1 friend twice, both times everybody had 0 friendly fire incidents but we still didn't get the achievment. The easiest way to do this one is get 3 friends then go through a campaign using only melee except for tanks, which you set on fire then run away

Ah I didn't know, thanks for that. Had quite a few occasions when it's just been 1 friendly fire hit. This is proving a real challenge.

i did the achievement by burnign through No Mercy on easy mode.

bots have never FF'd me in my entire l4d career i would put my babies life in their hands

Sometimes your screen will shake as they pummel you in the back with machine gun fire, it never does damage though. This used to stop you getting the no-ff achievement (there was a thread on the steam forums about it at the time), it might have been fixed since I tried it though, you'll need to let us know PW

I got the ff achievement with me and three bots a few days ago. I just ran through no mercy and let the bots kill everything. I did it on my first try. It's possible I just got lucky but I doubt it.

Did FF achievement with bots here also, very possible.


Also if anyone on 360 wants to try to get the "Nothing special" achievement feel free to add me, XBL tag is the same and I'd love to get a competent team together to try it.

i think they need some kind of rating system. more and more it seems like using "quick game" results in playing on a noob team and being decimated by an expert team.

playing expert teams is fine if you are on a good team too, otherwise, you don't even come to close to stopping them. especially when they are constantly defending themselves in a corner.

Yea, valve has ****ed up the matchmaking system by making it impossible for two premade and likely stronger teams go up against each other. If they're going to go with matchmaking, they really need a Halo3 like system.

I can't ****ing wait for the new update in the spring! I'm really looking forward to the SDK for L4D. I can image all the user made maps. It will be mad fun.

But I have one small problem, can you guys search for L4D servers in the steam program, cause I can't. I have to open L4D and it searches for a random server. I was able to search for servers but not anymore. If this is how it suppose to be then how are you suppose to join a user made map without manually connecting via console?

why does everyone hate/never play blood harvest?

it kinda sucks. Every map is essentially you running straight through some trees and maybe a barn or two

plus beating the finale on Expert is pretty easy to do on all the other levels but I have yet to beat Blood Harvest on expert due to playing with morons and/or not bringing molotovs from level 4 into the finale since you hardly ever find fire at the farm.

that being said I deliberately seek out lobbies that are about to start blood harvest so I can beat the damned thing.

The big 360 patch came out today. They changed a bunch of stuff.

It's the same patch that came out for the PC. All the changes are listed in this thread. Basically they made the smoker better, hunter melees do 6 damage instead of 10. They fixed a bunch of glitches (Tank rage meter going up when hitting cars, melee glitch, etc.). The infected can't block paths anymore. The spawns times for fellow infected are displayed on the screen.
