Lame, wiki says there was a smashing pumpkins dlc pack due for release on nov. 15 and it's not out. I was looking forward to that, too.

You should try reading the thread instead of just posting. There is a long discussion about this and the solution.

I read the thread and applied for a usb midi before I even played the game but since my pads went from working fine to virtually nonresponsive in one swoop I figured it was more likely something breaking inside than the sensitivity mysteriously changing mid song?

what is up guys.

i am interested in getting the 444,444 points on Schism, but we need 4 people that can play/beat it on at least hard. I can play bass/guitar.

Also need 444,444 on Trapped under ice

I need perfect score on easy song, all 4 people, and perfect song on hard.

Basically, i need a vocalist that can get 100% on easy songs. As song like no sleep till brooklyn on easy, i can 100 percent drums/bass/guitar.

so, ifyou are a vocalist that can 100% any song, let me know, and i'll fc that. Easy should be no problem on most songs, but hard is going to be tough.

if anyone else needs these band acheivements, just respond to this thread and we can try to set it up.

I was really happy with the drum sticks on my old set but I just returned it and the new sticks are much lighter and seem to be made of a different wood.

Am now 1st place overall. There's only 3 other people who've submitted scores for all songs. The weird thing is that the second place guy is better than I am at guitar. He's well ahead of me on GH3 guitar and ahead of me on GH:WT guitar as well. But I'm significantly ahead of him on bass.

Should also add that Hollywood Nights is the first song that really hurts my left hand. The bass line is so repetitive that it just hurts to keep holding down G and alternatingly going to the Y. It's not a hard song, but the repetive motion is annoying. Twice I actually broke combo just to pause the game to give me a break.

Well, I got it the night it came out at midnight, but am slow at playing since I have a full time job and poker and World of Goo to play as well.

I just beat all the songs on Hard, and only failed one song along the way, Hey Man Nice Shot, because I suck at tapping notes that are close together. I can tap fine on songs like My Name Is Jonas, but I sucked at Hey Man Nice Shot. And just to justify myself, after I beat Satch Boogie first time through (by keeping my star power full for the hard part that I thought was coming but didn't know for sure), I played it and beat it again.

Just some background on me to compare how much easier guitar on WT is. I still haven't beaten Raining Blood on Hard, and still have hard times with songs like One, Before I Forget, and 3's & 7's.

Time to play Bass.

So earlier in thread I asked about the compatibility of Rock Band Equip. with GHWT on PS2 and was told that it would work.

Drums do not work with it.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a trick? Thanks

I didn't fail any of Hard. And, while I have beaten Raining Blood 2-3 times, I still fail it much more often then I pass it.

Bass is interesting. The early songs are REALLY easy. But some of the songs get quite tricky. I probably came closer to failing BYOB on bass than I did to failing Satch Boogie on guitar.

I finally got this tonight, played a few sets with a friend. They put the rock meter in a really weird place for band play. I'm used to seeing it out of the corner of my eye near the fretboard, but they stick it way up in the corner and I have to move my eyes to see it, causing me to lose my streak every time I look away. Haven't played too much single guitar yet.

Yo gus,
I beat your bass score on No Sleep Till Brooklyn I'll have to play some more, but it's probably the only one I'll be ahead of you on.

Any advice for people moving up from medium to hard... I've knocked out a few songs, but find myself getting lost shifting. Is it all finger memory, or are there tricks to getting better?

try hitting blue with the ring finger as often as you can. i find it easier to move down then move up. i had a hard time until i played sweet child o mines intro on GH2 over and over.

Yeah, once I forced myself to start with the middle finger on yellow, it helped a lot in moving to medium and hard. I think some people do it the opposite, but this easiest for me.

BTW, my brain is having a hard time grasping the concept of the open bass notes.

how about compared to Knights of Cydonia on GH3, will WT rape me if i can't get passed the Galloping Triplets section (on hard)?

If that's the first song of GH3 that gives you problems, you'll be able to get all the way to the second to last tier in GH:WT with no problem.

I'm over a million ahead of second place overall on the bass rankings

But I only have a short time to enjoy my glory. Someone is busy entering scores and already has as many 100% as I do, even though he's only entered 51 of the 84 scores. He'll obviously pass me. But I should be able to enjoy another day as the Best Hard Bass player in the World. And the other good news as that he plays on the Wii, so I'll still have the 360 1st.

If you're getting a bunch of 100%s, why in the world do you stick with Hard?

I don't consider FCing 25% of the songs to be a "bunch".

But I do plan on moving to Expert soon.

The main reason is that, given the choice between trying to FC a song I'm at 98 or 99% on or trying to 5* a very difficult song, I prefer to go for perfection. This is why it took me so long to move from Medium to Hard. On GH3, I'm stuck on Tier 7 of Expert. I assume I'll probably get stuck somewhere around the Times Square Tier on GH:WT.

Is there a way to have more than one save profile like on other GH's? My daughter likes to play with her own character and see her own scores, but I didn't see that option here (but didn't look too hard yet, so I may have missed it)
