I haven't gotten to this point in the game myself but I really wonder if the f1 car can be driven optimally with the controller.
I am using a wheel.

And the Sebastian Vettel challenge is done with the fictional Red Bull X1. It was created as the ultimate dream car with total disregard to racing regulations using all the technology available.

highlights:
1483HP@15,000RPM (turbocharged V6). 545kg. Sebastian Vettel beat the current Suzuka F1 record by 20 seconds with the car.

They actually made an intro video to the car the first time you start the challenge. It's absolutely frigging amazing.

The prize for the challenge, not surprisingly, is the Red Bull X1.

You're racing behind a ghost car driven by Sebastian Vettel and we're somehow expected to catch up with a 2 second lag coming out of the pit.

I want in. Unfortunately I have so little time to play.

I may be able to get online later tonight, holla

Also, does anyone else find the lotus 111r in the top gear challenge, ridiculously hard to drive? If i so much as turn the wheel more then an inch, the back end wants to come right out from under me.
I took the ABS to 3, TC off, Skid on. DO NOT follow the suggested driving line. I found it far from optimal. You can cut certain corners to the inside at the 1st and 2nd corners and nailing them is critical and drifting into the "gambon" perfectly in lap one should put you into to at least 3rd. If not just restart. And you'll have an easier time in lap two, which you just have to pick good lines and you'll overtake drifiting inside at "gambon" on the 2nd lap.

The reason the Lotus rocked is because the mid engine gave it so much more traction than the FR cars I was using.
Nope, the level 20 unrestricted 8SS rallys, the first SS I lost like 30s on 3rd, got annoyed, practiced some and then just won them all by huge margin winning all SSs.

And yeah, the AMG rain challenge gives a lot of exp, but thats a grind in my book, because getting gold is quite hard on a wet 2minute course

Basically my options now are grinding the lvl 19/20 races for small exp gains or grinding golds in the higher level special challenges which are generally pretty tough and get annoying/tilting

yup thats it.

Gonna log on now and play some races. I would guess that it probably would be smart for us to set up a time here on the forumz and then we run some races.

What do you guys think?

downloading this update now

yeah wtf is this, another update.

I was thinking maybe 3-5 different "classes" or whatever, and we race them on a few tracks. Obv some limitations because everyone driving the fastest car would be dumb, or atleast ones tricked out completely. I dunno, just a thought.

PSN name = jordan149 fwiw, might be up for some racing later this week.

My go-to car right now is a 2006 Ford GT modded to about 700hp. Handles like a dream with racing tires and will hit about 210 mph on the long straightaway at Sarthe.

I have 2 of those if anyone else needs one.

I'll add the rest of you guys who posted SNs tonight.

Different classes would be a good idea.

Criteria could be hp, weight, tire type, possibly age, drivetrain layout perhaps.

I sent sketchy a Lupo last night.

I also tried out the online thing, its uh, rather ****** lol. TBH I didn't mess around too much, but it looks like someone makes a room and then we all join it. There was no way to make it a private room, so anyone could join (unless I missed something, doubt it though). Whateva. Would be cool though because it looks like you can quickly change cars and courses from the menu.

Each person has their own "Lobby" in which they can set up a race. This one seems to be private. Haven't tried it yet, though.
