So I got an alpha invite for a game that I signed up for a really long time ago. I have never actually gotten an alpha invite for a game before though, and i am not too sure I can trust the links in the email. How can I test the links to make sure they are not a virus?

The invite is sent to my hotmail account. There is all the usually official logo stuff, and a link to their forums, and account creation.

create an account directly from the site, not by clicking the link. You probably got a key, right?

Also double check the link and the real site web structure, and see if they are the same.

Look at stuff like this, by just putting the pointer over the link without clicking:

The links are all hyper linked, so no address is shown. There is also no key, just a link to set up the alpha account..... Just going to do more digging before I click through it. Thanks for the tip.

right click the link -> copy link address

Paste it into your browser but don't actually "go" there. Make sure it's legit first.

Just click the link and don't use any info you wouldn't want to give out. Obviously don't use the same pw you use for everything else.

hmmm, after looking all the links over, it looks legit... sweet, my first alpha invite and I am not really into the game in an alpha state... what a bummer

Was not too sure if it was against some rule if I said what it was or anything. I have offered it to a friend, cause he has been really interested in this game since it was announced, but if he says no and anyone else feels like they would enjoy an alpha invite to End of Nations, PM me.

Some beta/alpha invites will include non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), but I really doubt the authors of the game post here, could find your post here, or could figure out which account was yours based on your posts here.
