Really digging the online play thus far. Haven't even touched campaign.

Complete opposite of how my GoW and GoW2 experiences went.

yea same. it gets reallly frustrating though...i'm not nearly as good at gears as i am at the other games i play and being completely average to below average sucks. also feel like i'm playing with complete morons against parties and my win/loss ratio is awful.

Finished lvl 50 horde, was awesomeee. Was with some low lvls but they got the hang of it pretty fast. Me in mech as last defense. Feels so good when they're all flocking to u for defense.

there is a high learning curve for this game and it requires skill and team work unlike the popular game types in COD. ranked matches have no parties. get good with the gnasher and learn to spot opponents w/ double barrel shot guns. wall bounce, make them mis and gib them. I'm also finding the lancer to pretty powerful and have been getting a ton of downs/kills with it. It usually takes me at least 3 to 5 matches to "warm" up and be able to get top 2 on my team every time.

still learning maps and haven't been going for power weapons yet. trying to get real good with gnasher first before anything else. was on a team with a guy in team deathmatch who was having rounds of 10 plus kills mostly all with gnasher. gibbin mf'rs left and right. need to get to that level.

As a hardcore GOW player, I feel like 3 is such a huge jump from 2. The campaign is awesome, more characters, more customization, the multiplayer is excellent. With the dedicated servers, only time it lags it when you are personally. Plus no host shotguns. I loved GOW1 and GOW2 wasn't bad, but it was sort of a let down with glitches and lags. Now I'm loving this game again.

3d effect is pretty fun too, whenever a boomer shoots at u its awesome.

Anybody wanna try and get a good run at 50 waves in horde going?

Im up for some horde mode. Farthest I have gotten was 42 with 3 other randoms. Kind of gave up since it seemed to be impossible to do without a dedicated group.

That was my issue with Horde in GOW2. Without a good, committed group of players that use teamwork you just weren't going to get very far, and coming across those kinds of players in public matches was rare. I got to the mid 30's a couple times but it was just too frustrating having to repeat all of your earlier work because of one bad round, or getting deep only to have one or two players drop out, screwing over everybody else.

I'll add both of you tonight and hopefully we can get some games in soon. Also, the more 2p2ers we get the better, so everybody ITT should drop their GT so we can add each other to play Versus / Horde / Co-op Campaign.

Horde only for me

Just finished the campaign solo on Hardcore. Probably the best single player experience I've ever had. Just awesome.

The final boss was actually fairly challenging. Took me several attempts before I got pissed and looked up tips on youtube, only died once or twice more after that. Thank god I can beat the game on Insane in co-op because I'm not sure I'd be able to get through it alone with the useless AI squadmates. I swear, the only thing they are good for is reviving you.

Time for Horde and Versus!

I'm liking the campaign a lot more in 3 than I did in 2. Some parts in 2 felt pretty silly. Glad they got rid of that.

I only finished act 3 so far though, so they might still have some silly stuff in store for me.
