Not sure if this is correct or not but have read that your defaults tactics are the tactics of the team you selected as favourite. I just use my default ones (chelsea), have tried some custom ones but been better with the defaults.

Been using 4222 this year and it's by far my favourite formation, ramires/fernandinho are amazing at CDM but will probably upgrade one to Yaya at some point.

Aguero is the best striker i have used, and have tried pretty much all in the EPL. Using RVP with him atm, but remy/jovetic are also very good.
I think 4* Skills is a must have for attackers, as someone mentioned that new skill is amazing and is so easy to do with a little practice.

I'd imagine you can pick up some bargains later on today, EA will almost certainly have a big happy hour after/during madrid vs barca with Suarez being released into packs.

I do set it to ultra defensive and my back line sits back further and so do my holding midfielders and it is very hard for attackers to dribble past them

Get to a screen and watch Barca - Real. Now. It's insanity.

And Suarez is now in FUT. Going for 1.5M.

Not normally. I should try playing with it to see if it makes a difference but as long as your work rates of the players are suitable I never normally have a problem using that formation.
Lahm and gustavo holding works well for me. With both having high defensive work rates.

This can be true. A lot of times you have to beat a player one on one to start an attack, which I don't find an issue with my front 4.
But lahm has high/high work rate so is in support. Reus and Shaq love to cut in centrally (I can't remember the last time I tried to cross it), and my fullbacks are Alaba and pisczek, also with high attacking work rates.
So when holding it up with the striker support will arrive fairly quickly.

I am a RW by trade, but have been tinkering with RWB lately as well.

Any tips for scoring from Corners. I have no strategy I just kind of keeping trying different stuff and nothing seems to work consistently.

corners like crossing are near useless. Just hit n hope imo

lol naw if you know how to do them well you can score off a lot. in this game i've been using the crowd the keeper tactic then aim a bit towards the 18 of where it starts default and hold up and cross it like 1/4 bar. then either rapid tap b or like 1/3 bar header.

diff. between this year and last year i think is much less power on the corners. you could really hold it down in last year's game but not this year.

er the key also is knowing who it will or does switch to (use auto switch only for air balls and set the auto switch move to low or off) and finding him early to position yourself around/in front of the defender to beat him to the header.

Meh bit myself in the arse on trading, been listing my team up for sale whilst at work and at night before i go to bed and then if they sale buy the player again at the lowest price possible, has been working well but i sold Messi for 2.4m yesterday expecting to get him at 2.1m at the highest and suddenly the lowest price seems to be around 2.3m which means im losing money after tax

also if any1 gets burnt out on UT give pro clubs a try, its awesome. drop-in matches can be pretty terrible at first, but they're good for getting stats up. then when you find a club that plays regularly its a lot of fun.

Giving this formation a shot with a Schurrle-Remy-Salah front three (easy transition squad wise from my French 4-2-3-1) and it is pretty legit, as long as I remember to work back towards the center
