I really hope they made changes to the leveling system this year, being forced to do a lot of arena challenges and off-line play was really annoying the last two years

this is the reason ive never bothered with my VP. If it was easier id definitely be more inclined to play club

We usually play with a mix of US and Euro and it's no different than if it's just Euros. 2p2 club on PS3 is mostly Euro anyway.

I thought they made it so you couldnt do that any more? In 10 I had the USB guy off ebay. Last year I was told they made an update that meant you couldnt do it.

Nope, can 100% confirm you can still hack your VP, There are players on 360 am that have 127 VP ratings and they are 8 foot+ with 100 everything. I usually just back out against these players as generally the CPU stands no chance.

Just realised as well getting a decent team and playing the Bronze cup can pretty much guarentee a 99% win ratio (1% for dc's) as i literally win every single game 4-0+ had as high as 13-0 in this tourney with very very little conceding :x Nice little earner tbh

I would love to be in a club but I can only usually play weekends which sucks so if that influences your decision then you should probably exclude me but yeah joining a club would be fun!!

Also if you just wanna play a game for fun or something then my PS3 alias is Rawbie99. Have a few games such as Top Spin 4, Fifa 11, Black Ops etc but I will definantely get Fifa 12

Also how cool does online look? Tournaments, leagues where you can get promoted,relegated etc. CAN'T WAIT

You can drop in and out of clubs on the fly. There is no reason not to join only because you have no time.

I hope it was on super high speed or something, I thought it was supposed to be less arcadey this year but it looked faster / ping pongy as ever. And the wingers were still able to just run up the sides without any buildup.

I need to play the demo myself before making judgements, but considering it was the first video I saw I wasn't super happy.

the more i watch gameplay footage, the more it seems that FIFA fixed nothing of importance in this game. looks like this same old game with a gazillion bugs, glitches, and ******ed defenders from FIFA11. hopefully i'm wrong when the game comes out but this doesn't even look like a patch. it's like EA is too lazy to even release a patch and call it FIFA12. i mean, impact collision? who cares? that's like #2,000 on the priority list of things needed to improve FIFA11. anyways, we'll see. i'll hold off final judgment til i play the game but the gameplay so far looks the same as FIFA11, except lobbed throughballs and 1-2s look even more effective sadly and the game looks even more hockey/basketball like with the end to end gameplay.

Btw while I agree that the defenders are really ******ed in those videos, you also have to consider that a certain level of ******ation ( obv below the video level ) is necessary. A perfect simulation has been done before in an NFL game test concerning defensive lineups of major teams vs minor teams and the fact that in reality the minor team has no chance at all with the QB getting sacked nearly every time.

To translate this to FIFA, if the defenders were to follow full reality rules, a 3 star team would have immense trouble scoring against let's say Inter. How fun would it be to always end up 5-0, 7-1 etc only because the star level is different. As of right now, it is possible to play a 1 star team against a 4 star team and still have a minor chance. That would all fall out in a full simulation.

Do you really want to force everyone to play 5 star team online? How fun would that really be? I wouldn't like that game. You have to remember that while a simulation is nice, a full blown simulation is simply not suitable for a game. Think of UT: you would pretty much have a guaranteed win in every cup by just getting 4 gold defenders first. Where is the fun?

Now let's add to the fact that you do not have full control over the movement of your attackers and that most people have less tactical vision than a top tier striker, that would mean that automated defenders will always be better than the attackers, leading to a VERY high amount of games with no goal. I wouldn't like that. There has to be a certain level of standardization, else the game is just not fun.

Obv I'm not advocating an arcade game here, just that there has to be a limit to the simulation too. Reality is not always fun.

I'm in for club ps3 also. I have a feeling ST and CAM are popular so I'll play a laggy LB or CDM. Never played clubs before but I reach >5k points in H2H so I'm not totally drooling.
