how much time do i have to invest to get my pro good(80ish)?
really hate accomplishment grinding

dunno cashy prolly around 5 hours to get to 80 for a ST, for a defender like you I am not sure... After 80 it gets much long/repetitive. I think in two days (but i did grind poker too and played club so prolly around 5-6 hours) I was 86. And yeah it is ****ing mindless but I figured that this way i would not have to think about it till next september. And club is much much funnier when you can actually win tight balls, score in narrow angles or in your case just brutalize the midget opponents.

5 hrs? You can change the sliders and win every game world class difficulty 25-0 against CPU to boost. Easy grind this year.

i should add that its a little more than pull shirt

its pull shirt plus make superman like standing tackles that make no sense and no matter what happens wont get called.

I don't understand why everyone is looking for the easiest way to up their pro's rating .. it feels like cheating and takes all the fun out of VP .. at least for me

Got a lot better at defending to, what i found really helps is smothering the options, ill select a player and uses him to block a pass then quickly select another player to mark another player, the A.I normally takes over the unselected player and positions him perfectly, rinse and repeat, it congests the M.F and results in a turn over more often than not.

It works the same way it did in NHL 11. You will square up to the player with the ball. You can combine with sprint and tackle but im sure someone else will elaborate.

Just played a few club games with zim and let me live. Seems fun, but man the computer players are like goat defenders and terrible attackers. Seems there are atm two 360 clubs, would be good to get that consolidated if possible, however all the other game modes are pretty fun so I don't know how much I'd play club tbh.

Tilted like mad in my final game in clubs tonight lol. So ***** frustrating when you look at the stats at the end of the game and see that as an AM who is supposed to be the playmaker that you managed to get a total of 4 passes and only 1 of them found its target lol.

Tonight was fun, but seeing as you can't play for 2 clubs I will not be able to 100% commit to one club but if there is a 360 team going and I'm on I'll obv play. Had fun just playing with THS/LML/WCH, we had a pretty sick run at the end with only 1 defeat in 8 games and with letting in 2 goals in 8 games. Thing is none of us are very good we just have common sense and don't call for the ball in dumb spots whereas most kids are like omfggggg get me a goalzzz which leads to 4 kids running after the ball while you just lol and pick them apart. Best win had to be v these kids we end up winning 1-0 with a deflected cross and then have to defend all game afterwards we find out that they are 4x better than us points wise lolol all because they kept thinking they were the next Maradona and trying to score screamers, Anyone want to explain to me how to get the score 2 layoff passes in 1 game like what is it?

on this note i have another way also go into game setting on kick off and put all the stats to zero they wont move much and its simple 2 score,assists and dribble past players. also do a 1-5-4 formation simples my guy already 84 and finishing is 94

I played 1 KO game with 10 min halves and went from about 72 to 78 or something. Aim to do the 12 tackles in a match one. On the way to that I think there is 6 tackles and 8 tackles so by the time you've got that you'll have got standing tackle +6 or something like that. There's a slide tackle one also. The rest has come from club so far.

Cup window opens in 2 hours! Im in div 5 and it looks like im the bottom tier of continental cup Meaning im up against div 3 4 5 players. Div 5 is hard enough.

I played ultimate team last night for first ever time , My defence was rated 63, midfield 68 and attack 74.

Played a cup v a guy online and his team was like 86 88 86.

Beat him 5-4 in E.T lool

I dont get what its about though? Did he just buy a load of gold packs and get the best players?

you need to be close to defenders to make headers otherwise he automatically goes for the volley, so change the formation of the team you are playing against.

yer he always volleys it but team im playing formation is 1-4-5

Basically what cashy said, if an opponent is coming toward you and you want to turn like you would normally do, just tab L1 and release, it slows you then you can spin off in the opposite direction, you can pretty much do anything you want if you time it right. IF a player is pressing you hard you can own them constantly.
Best thing you can do is be barca for a game or two and try it every time you get the ball in the finally 3rd, you will get the hang off it and can then apply it to when you normally play, it awesome!
