update: getting used to the game now and actually enjoying it. just took about 5000000 games, guess i should have played wc game some so transition would have been easier!

i feel like none of my fifa10 abilities carry over in this demo. feels different even from wc. for example i don't remember passing being nearly as difficult in wc... in this demo it seems you need to get the power exactly right and that requires a lot of time on the ball, whereas last year you could just tap 'pass' and send it halfway cross field. obv as with wc chipping keepers no longer works so i'll have to find a new way to score half my goals.

but the changes all add to the realism and i'm pleased with the demo, despite sucking at it. i tried playing as the goalie... pretty interesting but I dk who's going to do that as their VP

Enjoying it so far, its a good thing that you can't just go straight into winning on world class difficulty just because you could on fifa 10, I saw a video a couple of days ago and me and my friend reeled back in horror because it looked exactly the same, having played it though it plays far better.

I love the passing and how you can't make those instant passes from ridiculous angles. Celebrations are awesome how they interact with other players. I like to play with manual shooting (semi or assisted everything else) and I'm finding that tough, I must have been in the arena doing long shots for half an hour without scoring one..

Penalties are difficult when you start playing, but as you practice they make more sense, especially when you use the aim assist in the arena by pressing LT.

I think the pace of players has more effect, as it should, and finally they don't just seem to depend on how good the player is, eg on 10 walcott would struggle in a straight race with terry because he's good at other stats.

As a player who tries to play realistic football when playing fifa, I love it

I actually found the world class diff. similar to fifa 10's, but it's still really challenging which is good.

as for penalties, I liked the simpler rock/paper/scissors type penalties from fifa 10. It was fun reading my friend's minds and blocking a lot of their shots. Now practice/skill has a bigger role which can't really be a bad thing I guess.

Cliffs on posts thus far.

If you like simulation, great the new Fifa is perfect.
If you prefer a more arcade feel, stick with Fifa 10..................................or there is another game on the market which you should have no problem in picking up.

my mind is BLOWN AWAY
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT 2 WEEKS FOR THIS HRjipjtipweghpojwgtipjrwpjpjüpü

random awesome things:

DMs are finally effective, by differentiating the tackling radius for every player and making strenght more important players like Song are no longer rubbish in Fifa
Bossing midfield with Song is sooo much fun!

I love how the difference in passing skill of players completely changes the gameplay
You cannot make ridiculous passes with every player anymore, have to keep it simple with your average passers(like clichy for example) and have to "safe" the defense splitting passes for players like Cesc or Nasri.
AWESOME, makes it a lot more realistic and opens up so many tactical options(taking out Pirlo vs Milan is really important for example)

Animations are mindblowing awesome, you can identify every single Arsenal player just by the way the move

I could go on and on and on
WOW EA I really didnt expect Fifa11 to by THAT much better than Fifa worldcup(not to mention fifa10)

+1 everything cashy said. This game will be so sick. I would insta pay double if I could have the game right now for myself. Speaking of which where is everyone going to buy this (Europe)? I've usually used thehut.com but I really want this game on the day of release and not sure if I can trust them on that. Kinda sucks buying it from a b&m store for almost 2x the price but wtvr. Gotta play it safe with this gem...

edit: also EA can **** off with this bs 3min half length demo. They should have some sort of loyalty program seriously. Since I bought my xbox I've bought every NHL and FIFA title, as well as a Fight Night and will buy their MMA game as well. Sigh. Oh ya and they should get new titles on games on demand too.

I can only assume not many people itt played wc.
I don't understand the "hate".

-------
R&D- Check back a page or so, there is a list of people who will be buying the game.
Play.com is good. However the big supermarkets often have a deal on for the first day e.g MW2 was £30 in Sainsburys, im not sure if they'll be doing another deal for this game, but ask around perhaps they will.

--------
If anyone still doesnt like this game, i encourage you to DL the proevo11 demo and just see for yourself how big the difference is, Its like PS3 v PS2. Proevo has gone backwards if anything.

--------
YourDoom, i got no idea how your gonna put up with that **** if your mates dont swap sides.

Yeah that would be pretty cool, 5 min halves for people with an EA points total of a certain amount. Its fair enough that they want to give people just a taster and make sure they buy the game though, I can't see it happening in the future.

By the way if you're in the UK I'd recommend finding a big 24 hour supermarket near you, tesco or asda, and getting it from there at midnight. Last year tesco sold it for £25 for the first couple of days, with other supermarkets all being around the same mark. Hopefully the same will happen again this year. When MW2 came out I drove past GAME and they had a massive queue outside, went to tesco and was in and out with no fuss and got it £5-10 cheaper

And I thought the UK was expensive for games. It costs like £39.99 for a brand new game usually, which is about 47, 48€.

Ok, one quick question. Does the UK version ( or US version ) of Fifa 10 come with the italian sound pack? It's the only game I play in italian, 'cause I like the commentators.

If I can import even this game, I might calm down.

EDIT: plz plz plz plz plz
