Those videos use 30x sneak attack damage.

I can already get improving smithing to over 400% or so. Changing it to 500 or even 600 wouldn't get me anywhere close to 1k damage on any weapons. Just doing the math and it seems impossible.

They probably took those screenshots after fortifying their weapon damage with potions and enchanted gear.

Probably walking into a level, but I'm doing that too and getting nowhere near 1k damage weapons.

Not a level, just a guess. I haven't attempted to maximize my weapon damage yet so I have no idea how realistic any of those numbers are.

Edit: Probably should've been obvious that you had thought of that though.

How do you find out how much you've explored?

You cannot be serious? I uncovered about 50% of the map by lvl 12. What were you doing in that tiny area up to level 27?

When I kill a dragon, it says I absorb its soul. Good. Except nothing changes with my shouts. I still have the same amount of shouts greyed out. Do I have to manually activate them or something?

That seems crazy to me as well. If I highlighted the map like that it would probably be like 90% covered and I'm level 27 too. And it isn't like I've been exploring, it was all discovered completing tasks.

You need to unlock them through your shouts menu. Should be a different button from "equip."

Actually I just loaded up my game to check I'm only level 24.

I have no idea really. I've only done the main quest up until you kill the first dragon, 3 companion quests, 0 thieves guild quests. Just done a some random quests for people and wandering around I guess. Haven't powerleveled anything except Smithing which is currently at about 85. Haven't bought any training from anyone either.

How did you get up to level 24? Fighting mudcrabs or something?

If you're playing on Xbox, then highlight shout and hit 'X' and it will activate if you have a dragon soul.

PS3, but there's probably something similar.

Thanks guys, I'll look more carefully and try activating them.

dumb question:

WTF do we do with partial soul gems? Is there a way to put them into empty soul gems?

Frown and use them as if they were the same as the soul size that's in them. I don't know any way to move the soul and I dont think there is any.

If you power level a skill, especially at low levels, it will level you way faster than just wandering around and questing LDO.

thinking about playing a mage as my new build, is heavy armor preferred? i'm guessing destruction is a must for mages in terms of perks, but what should i prioritize first?
