Duke Nukem Forever Lives

The game was on display at the Penny Arcade Expo this weekend in Seattle. Texas-based Gearbox Software confirmed they finished development of the title. Studio president Randy Pitchford said during a presentation the game is in the final polishing stages, and is coming in 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

I thought this had to be a joke at first, but it's confirmed in several news outlets and 2K Games' Twitter feed has pictures of it being played.

Considering that Take Two just announced Q3 earnings yesterday I'm really surprised this didn't come up during that announcement. Still feels fishy.

i was talking a to a Canadian game developer in vegas during the WSOP and he said he couldn't comment on the game. I loved the original Duke Nukem 3d, but hell it's been a long wait. With SC2 being out I doubt I have any time to commit to another game.

That stadium level looks like a remake of the final battle of Duke 3d. So pumped this is coming.
