Thanks. I ended up finding it a bit afterwards, but was still confused about how it all works.

I guess from my understanding you put in 9 colored essences and when the diretide event is over, they will hatch into a roshan courier, color, appearance, and animation dependent on how you colored the egg.

Black will always be black, so only do that with 1 egg if you get multiple.

So far I've played about 9 rounds, I have 1 egg and only a blue and red essence.

I started yesterday with 2 chests and 1 cosmetic item. Since playing Diretide I have gotten 2 halloween chests and 12 new items.

My match history seems bugged as I've won my last 3 and it says I lost.

Diretide has been fun to try new heroes without any real penalty, and then try out new items in the store at the end. It's been speeding up the process of learning what items do and putting them in my inventory and remembering to use my hotkeys.

Wow, I had the same problem. I accidentally queued with a friend for a normal game thinking it was diretide. I felt like I forgot how to play completely. But I raped with that 6s rage n'aix, **** is badass.

Orange vs. iG game one was pretty good, nice come back and some pretty weird picks from iG

i hate diretide. it's redeeming quality is that you get items which doesn't appeal to me.

i would be indifferent if i could filter live games and replays based on real vs. diretide games.

Oh man, Zeus is so good in Diretide. I just went 10-1-8 with him. His Ult is sick.

I was derping around kicking ass, had a candy on me. Someone on my team kept pinging the bucket on the map and circling it. Derp derp derp. Probably a minute goes by and then I realize it's 46-46 and no time left. I just happened to be at the secret shop.

I go and put the candy in our bucket and we win. I was so focused on crushing everyone I forgot about the score and time.

So we were just losing a game, something like 36-54, don't know exact score. I was playing Faceless Void and was at the Dire's bucket and going to town on everyone. I was the only one there, with maybe a minute to go, but since I'm a noob I don't always pay attention. I just play to have fun.

So then I end up leaving the area because I was afraid I was about to get gangstomped by the Dire. Then the Ogre on my team tells me to lock everyone (with my ult) and hit the bucket. Nobody was there though except one. But by the time he said that I was already on my way out.

Then, before the Roshan fight starts he says "noob team," and "report Void."

So during the Roshan fight I hit my Ult on him to lock him and he got blasted by a sunstrike. That was pretty satisfying and I laughed in his face.

aside from necrolyte, those were very normal picks from ig. It was a good game though, amazing composure from ig.

I just want to mention though that the commentator says qop was unlucky not to get a mkb minibash off on ns who was bkb-tping, but actually the stuns from all ranged bashes are blocked by bkb. the more you know

Clockwerk best in diretide. Hook is 3000 range!! And cogs at bag choke point.

Oh man, I just had an insane Diretide game with Luna. Went 12-0-13. The other team wasn't that great so it was fairly easy. Luna's Ult was pretty sick when you get into a team fight.

My opinion of these heroes will probably change once I go back to regular games, but for now I'm having a blast.
