No they are completely new heroes as of today, they are being added to Dota1 in addition to these changes within the next few hours, likely to be ported onto Dota 2 come Thursday.

took me a while to realize this wasnt for dota 2 lol, good ol' bristleback. major buffs on him I hope he gets ported.

that winter wyvern ult is sick lol, make your enemies attack your target.

pretty nice buffs to the drow. decent buffs to kunkka, much lower ult CD. I like.

nice buffs to lion too. 600 dmg ult lvl 1, yikes.

Lone Druid
- Spirit Bear can no longer be resummoned while it is taking damage

copying HoN a bit here

big jungling nerf to lycan :/

wowww monster nerfs to morphling, holy **** .

siren too ROFL -12 base dmg?!?! ahahha nice.

phantom lancer from 2.8agi per level to 4.2 O_o. 4.2?!?! lol was needed I suppose

decent small buffs to razor, should be a lot more viable now that fog doesnt mess up his buffing and that he can target BKB'd heroes lategame.

Massive buffs to shadowfiend, nice. and damn this looks strong

Quote:
Upon dying half of Shadow Fiend's souls (the amount lost on death) will be released as if you had cast Requiem of Souls with those souls. This cast doesn't put the spell on cooldown and will trigger if it is on cooldown. It is now a passive component of the ability.

Techies
- Armor increased by 6

I lol'd.

No nerf to templar assassin at all, odd.

Alchemist got a huge buff, enemies not being able to see the timer on his stun! Plus buff to goblins greed, and basically every single one of his other moves - wow.

Huge implications surrounding the Aegis being reclaimed after 6 minutes, that alone will change game play.

- Ether Blast now does damage based on the primary attribute of the holder instead of always agility

SHOTGUN PUDGE NE1?

Shotgun pudge sounds like a blast.

New heroes are completely broken as usual, especially the Arc Warden who can farm like a mad man as soon as he gets midas, then go refresher and necro and zing six of those little bastards running around owning faces. I highly doubt he will be ported in his current state.

Big change in gold reward for ganking, we will probably see a lot more ganking oriented meta. Then again wards are cheaper, will be interesting.

SF releasing souls on death is awesome.

Arc Warden:

Was this hero made specifically with backdooring in mind, or what?
Just rice farm your hand of midas, then take off like a rocket with +5.35 gold/second and mass exp, and by the time you have necro3 + travels you can push down any tower and even backdoor if you aren't immediately glyphed/tped on.

Once you have the full gear? Jesus titty****ing christ
2 heroes, 4 illusions, 2 necro warriors, 2 necro archers, all with +160% IAS and 100% evasion. You can backdoor any tower even with regen up and a glyph burnt. It takes like 2 seconds to knock down a T3.
Lol.

Guy has unlimited drum charges, unlimited diffusal charges, and it looks like he may be able to endlessly copy consumables like health pots as well?

Isn't this just going back to the old tb then? Which I'm fine with. I've never even played this new tb, and I loved the old one.

It's actually a big change. A lot of times an enemy will feel safe because 1 - 2 creeps are near them. Now they do not have that security. I think the old TB made two images in the past with a longer CD.

I love the new SF change. I hate a lot of the rest. Nerubian Assassin seems strong / playable now. New heroes are ruining the balancing of the game.

Several of the changes are actually reverting things back. Like radiance and treads buff is just going back closer to old numbers. I despise all these little number tweaks, when bigger changes are needed.

Like naga shouldn't have had her base damage nerfed, instead sots should have been fixed. (aoe decrease and cd increase at the very least)

Meta changed. XP and GOLD buffed so more focus on team fights. DS, Lycan and Naga all got worse. Invoker will be close to the number 1 pick again. FV got a huge buff. Same with SF. Going to be interesting.

random thoughts

big to the batrider changes

can't wait for bb to come to dota2 he's one of my favs

lycan nerfs are very welcome imo, those wolves were imba for jungling, they gonan die very fast now

necro sadist change is a lot better than before imo

don't like new pitlord aura

The huge amount of damage decrease to naga siren is a good adjustment imo. Naga siren was a strong hero. By decreasing her damage they lowered her CS ability, hurt her images, and hurt the damage output overall she would deal with the minus armor so I actually like the change. She is now put in the role of a utility hero instead of a semi carry.

I don't really see how FV got a huge buff. If i read it correctly the only changes were him not getting chrono'ed anymore and his stun doing double damage inside the sphere. I think it's just the bonus damage so you figure that it adds at most 70 damage per proc in the sphere. How many times is he gonna proc?

The new pitlord aura seems broken, but that hero was already broken I believe as it was not implemented into CM.

The trilane may be utilized more also. There may be less jungling, but I think it's primarily gonna be junglers ganking more often now.

The change to armlet having a 1 second cool down is huge also. I can see people getting wrecked in pubs simply because of that.

Tree's new armor ability seems very strong also. It's basically a tide turner for any 1v1 fight as a global.

70 to 140. Thats huge........

That's not that huge.

Force staff increased cost and no longer countering Disruptor is pretty big too. With his ult also getting buffed, I think Disruptor is gonna be a solid top tier pick in competetive.

When it's 25% per hit and FV with MoM hits like a mother****er, its goddam huge. Like an extra 200-300 damage depending on how lucky you are. It's a pretty big difference.

It basically guarantees that Chrono = dead hero(es).

You don't often live after the Chrono with half your life left. You BARELY escape with your pants in tact and this change means that Chronosphere probably needs a longer cooldown at 16.

Hopefully all these changes hit Dota2 this week like the last major dota patch.

Treant's Living Armor thing now seems broken as hell...pretty much insta win for you solo mid, as it works like a TA shield at low level and provides regen as well...

i always thought he had by far the best ultimate in the game

if he's a beast solo mid... ouch.

Tree is probably decent solo mid with the huge increase in base damage, but the main factor is that he can help any lane with his global cast. Imagine playing solo mid and you are duking it out with some guy when suddenly you block 6 instances of 80 damage. On top of that you gain 10 life per second for 20s as long as the spell hasn't dispelled yet. The spell basically can help anyone in the game survive during the laning phase or in a 1v1 match up.

Regarding faceless void, I acknowledge the fact that a lot of times people just barely make it out of chronosphere, but to say it is a huge buff is a matter of opinion. I really do not see how this buff suddenly catapults void into a new tier.

It's 70 Magical damage (52.5 actual damage for the standard hero) . It will do less damage on a AM, Pudge, or Rubick if he near by. Void sometimes pick to counter AM will add an additional 26.25 damage per proc if he has his spell shield maxed out.

If you are actually doing 200-300 damage in life loss I would say you run good.

The biggest change I would say that benefits void is the fact that a lot of heroes got nerfed yet he got buffed. In that case I would say overall he did get significantly.

Really? His ultimate is not even close to the best. It's very counterable. It feels like a pub ultimate more than anything.

New living armor seems way too broken though. I don't understand how anything is ever released in this state, when it's clearly op.
