Not interested in grinding for gear? Do you know what game you are playing? Grinding for gear to complete sets and open up new powerful playstyles is 90 percent or more of the enjoyment of Diablo 3.

So progressing through the Acts and story in the hope of having an enjoyably challenging experience really isn't the point?

Well, it's fun, sure, but that is only a couple - few hrs of game play. Maybe a little more if you want to explore every nook and cranny, break every pot, open every chest, etc.

So basically I need to get to level 60 as quickly as possible. Well playing on Master should do that.

Is Reaper of Souls worth it?

Well, absolutely if you want to get the most out of this game (it adds a ton and changes the end game play a ton for the better), but if you don't like the grind, then maybe try a different game?

Genuine question - I'm not totally clear from the reviews exactly what Reaper of Souls adds that's separate to the changes made by the patch that was released at the same time. As I understand, RoS adds Act 5 and the Crusader class - anything else?

Should perhaps elaborate on the grinding point - I mean I don't want to grind just so I won't be obliterated at a higher difficulty level. Would prefer a smoother difficulty curve if that makes sense.

RoS increases the level cap to 70. If you don't have it, you can't use any of the best gear in the game.

Adds adventure mod, new chapter, new class, new items... If you like diablo 3 vanilla you will for sure like RoS as it's better game...

There is a 2p2 clan. We mostly play on NA, and by "we" I mean a handful of 2p2ers. Definitely feel free to request an invite, but if you're looking for consistent groups, you may want to join a different clan. I don't think we've had 4 2p2ers on at once in quite a while.

What happens at level 60? I just hit level 58 today and don't really pay any attention to this thread (just opened now out of boredom).

At 60 I think you can up the difficulty or something. Do you have the expansion, RoS?

I have RoS. Another 5-10 minutes away from L. 60 now

If you have RoS you just continue leveling to level 70 after hitting 60.

k, ty. Saw that when I suddenly hit 61 . At 62 now. Up until 61, my best weapon was 925, and then I picked up something at ~2325. Incredible difference

Just wait til you get to 70, that's when the real game begins.

Actually 60->61 is pretty bonkers power wise. If we ignore that 20 mins later we are 70 and all before that is crap then

Definitely didn't take long to get near 70. I'm half way through 69 now and stuck on the Angel of Death boss.

I'm curious what you guys do with your coins. I have 1.8M and I don't see what to by except for the tranny thing that changes the look of your clothes/weapon.

You'll spend it. Gems cost a lot to upgrade, extra gem rolls in greater rifts are expensive, crafting gear once you hit 70 can be pricy if you want that perfect ancient

Already on the 15th paragon. Another noob question: Do you ever get anything good when you train the artisan to make weapons? I've trained him all the way and the top damage I get is 1600, my top weapon is already 3500. Seems like a huge waste of money.

Crafting is mostly good for ensuring you have a decent weapon that matches your level on your way to 70. Once you hit 70, you want to be farming sets and legendaries in Torment 1 rift runs.

Basically you find out what legendary weapon you want to use then use the blacksmith to craft the rare version of the weapon and use the kanai cube to upgrade it to legendary.

What's a Kanai Cube? I see it mentioned with skills but no idea what it is.

It is similar to the horadric cube in Diablo 2.

Start a game in Adventure Mode and go to Ruins of Sescheron in Act III and then wander around until you find the cube, it is an object in the world you click on. Then it will appear in town and you can use it for various crafting recipes:

Quote:
-Breaking down Legendary items for players to equip their special effects as passive traits.
-Conversion of crafting materials from one type to another.
-Conversion of gems.
-Opening portals to Whimsyshire / Whimsydale, Treasure Realm and Not The Cow Level.
-Rerolling all affixes on a Legendary item (Reforging).
-Conversion of Set items into other items of the same set.
-Upgrading Rare items into Legendary items.
-Removal of Character Level Requirements.
-Use Legendary Gems to boost an Ancient or Legendary item with a bonus.
