Patch 1.0.3:

Copy and pasted Hell mob damage and HP into Inferno.

What amazes me now is that they still allow ilvl 63 items in act 1. It's so god damn easy in act 2...

Ummm... ghom?

If you're ranged, you won't take any damage at all. If you're melee, you hold left mouse button until it's dead. Nothing else necessary.

That has already happened anyway, thanks to AH and dirt cheap prices. I didn't use AH at all on normal-hell first playthrough and then spent all my gold on bow for inferno. I think it had like 650 dps, no socket or crit damage. Used it until act 2.

Nowadays if you make DH you just buy that 800-900dps bow with socket for 50k, then add crit gem and you practically have >1k dps weapon for act 1.

I just found a champion mob where it didn't show the affixes on him or his minion. Anyone else see this? He had frozen and molten from what I could tell.

Can someone explain MF to me. If I do a couple runs and find 100 rares with no MF should I expect 200 rares with 200% MF in similar amount of time.

Edit: I guess without counting valor stacks

damn, dropped dps from 45k to 31k. Sounds like the nerfing will still leave me ok though.

The way that I understand MF is...

Adding MF to your toon will increase the chances of getting blues/yellows/greens/oranges. It does not mean you will get more items, you just increase the odds of getting magic/rare/etc items. It also doesn't affect these items "rolls".

Feel free to chime in Kirby since you da king and all.

One hand+source, 31.5k >> 27.5k (1.5 aps weapon), 2.13 aps >> 1.79
Two hand sword, 35.3 >> 29.6 (1.1 aps weapon), 1.56 aps >> 1.31

Looks like I'll be going back to the 1h/source since at 1.31 aps, I'll be dead before I get a second shot off. If I am standing in the middle of the screen @ 1024/768, Piercing Orbs just about leave the screen before the next one fires.

play with barb/monk to farm for wiz obviously.

Just tried my POORLY geared monk with 300 AR, 25k dmg and 40k HP in Act 3. It went alright to say the least.

Time to replace those amethyst for rubies. Mobs can't kill me and it takes me ages to kill them. This patch definitely sucked some fun out of the game.

I think they did that to combat against scammers, so to trade with someone you have to do it through the trade system.

People were having problems where they would go to drag/drop the item, someone would close the trade, drop the item on accident, then the scammer would pick up the item and take off.

So now it's no longer possible to see something that someone else drops, BUT I thought that was only from when you try to pick up something when your inventory was full. I might have misread it tho.

EDIT: It might also be a bug related to what they intended to do.

since my dps was significantly nerfed but mobs are weaker, I decided to make a more dps build =).

two dps passives, battlerage, crit chance/dmg gloves.


gonna try looking for cheapish str+double crit items.

maybe a crit % stormshield

gg wiz. 93 hours in the toilet. yeah, they are easier to kill, but when you shoot slower, already have 18% movement speed and it is all you can do to stay ahead of them casting hydra/Bliz...forget about turning to take a pop shot because then you take damage and have no healing ability (lol 30sec cool down pots).

****ing joke.

Oh, but I'm sure that 3% life steal minus 80% inferno debuff @ the 3%/tick proc rate of blizzard should solve all that. That's nearly 5000 HP (likely a lot less) I'll gain over the 30sec potion cool down! Should be just fine.

ok, tell me how wizards heal when they are kiting elites and can nearly stay in front of them? Regardless if they hit lighter now...they do still hit right? Then you get vortexes in, pop you pot and teleport out...then what for the next 30 secs?

Tell me please. I want to learn from the great master.

I honestly feel sorry for people without triple monitors now. At least I can see where to run and where not to. Others are just kiting into more mobs, which is probably lucky because then maybe you'll be able to get a few globes to pop before you die and run back for the next 30 sec run.

Difficulty should come from mechanics, not enemies one shotting you just cuz.

Diablo 2 was an epic game for a decade and it was faceroll easy.

I'm a pro-difficulty person, trust me, but Diablo games aren't about kiting the same pack of mobs for 15 minutes and difficulty isn't just about cheap inflated numbers.

? The patch was pro-melee, anti-range. Wiz/DH were seriously affected by this while melees got a boost.

I'm a DH and i'm not freaking out or anything though. Every DH used Nether Tentacles, but now have to switch over to frozen elemental arrows which makes our killing time over twice as long which also affects our survivability.

Most DH never get hit anyways so the dmg reduction on monsters doesn't affect us at all
