I have no idea about classes, I didn't try beta nor have I read anything about them. Barb is probably the same as in d2 and wizard is something similar to sorceress.
I got too anxious to play and try d3 out I had to buy the digital copy like 10mins ago.
WD seems interesting as in, no one plays it. I guess it's like a necromancer in d2? I might start off with that.

I'm playing a Monk. It's ok. I had to switch to a heal skill to defeat SK at level 9. too much time in between minor heal pots.

all of them have some aoe, seems wizard, monk, and barb have better aoe than the dh though, at least until you get grenades/multishot/strafe etc (although rapid fire does pretty good for groups, just not like wizard who demolishes groups). not a big fan of witch doctor, but they got pets and a few aoe spells too.
